I meet a former classmate after 25 years and a few e-mail exchanges before we met again (we are 44). I like her very much. She is in Europe, I am in North America. We met for dinner and wine after that, from 5pm to 3:30am.

Then we met again for 2 hours for lunch.

When I came back, I made it clear in an e-mail that I liked what I saw and heard from her, and I would like to get to know her better. Great if this sounds attractive to her, and OK if not. This is what I wrote. No reply so far to this e-mail. After a week I sent it, I talked to her on the phone, but I did not bring this up.

I am sure she likes me, but likely she is not interested. However, I have a very good intuition that we can be a great couple, and somehow I feel I need to explore more before I give up.

I do want to get a definite answer where she stands, but at the same time I have no desire to push and press with questions. It has been a month since this email. Any insights would be very helpful.

Did you call her? Or she call you? If you called her, it may have just been her being polite in accepting the call. A month later- Her not answering the email may be her definite answer. Sorry...

I called her. There is also the factor that she is going through a difficult time, problems with her teenage daughter, and perhaps confused about things, but I do feel it is "the definite answer." I also invited her to join me in Asia for a week in two months, I am going on business, but again no answer for a week. At least she could say "Thank you, very nice of you, but I cannot make it." I think I will let it go, although I feel making a final call, but perhaps I should just forget about it?
