CARL45 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Well a month ago I was interested in a woman that I meet at a party. We exchanged numbers and we went out on a coffee date with her. Everything looked well until I tried to ask for another date. She told me that this is not a date right? Were just hanging out because I will never be your girlfriend. I responded by saying I wanted her romantically. I didn't want her as a friend. Well I saw her on Friday and a friend told me that she has a 'lover'. Basically she is seeing this guy and screwing him, but she keeps it on the down low its a booty call. Its no relationship just sex and a movie maybe. I heard about that before I persuaded her, but I thought she was just saying this because she was drunk. I have kind of lost respect for her. There's a part of me that is saying maybe I should have stayed her friend, but there's another part that feels you shouldn't even be dealing with a chick like this. Do you think I did the right thing?
Jilly Bean Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 What did you do, hon? She friendzoned you. Whatever her reasons, she wasn't romantically interested after the first date. If you want more, then yes, cut her loose.
Author CARL45 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 It wasn't that she friend zoned me. It was the fact that she really didn't tell me she was in a relationship! It was the deception that annoyed me.

It was the deception that annoyed me.Yep, and you'll meet a lot of women like that in your life. The cure is caring less. You found her attractive and wanted to date her. No go. OK, she was just a stranger you met at a party anyway. You'll meet thousands more during your life. Enjoy

If you want more, then yes, cut her loose. This. Don't believe things girls say unless you are dating them or good friends with them. They lie and push their own agenda's. Just because she says she's hooking up with him doesn't even mean that's happening. She may also just be hooking up with him but not be in a relationship with anyone and still looking. This doesn't make him sleezy. The majority of girls probably do this, and just don't tell you so you don't have negative opinions of them.
Author CARL45 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 The fwb thing is the one I am upset about. And no I really don't care about the friend zone.
good_vibes Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 You said you didn't want her as a friend, even told her that, and that is what she said it would always be. So since it won't ever be what you want, why not move on to someone who you could be in a relationship with? Who cares about the drama with her other man or whatever she has going on, it doesn't matter since it wasn't going to be what you wanted anyway. I would just move on.
Jilly Bean Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The fwb thing is the one I am upset about. And no I really don't care about the friend zone. I don't see how her sex life was relevant to you after one date. If she was interested in dating you further, Im quite sure she would dump her FWB. Not all people you will meet and want to date are not dating others or having a little meaningless something something.
Author CARL45 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 I guess its her appearance of being a good girl, but in actuality f**king a guy in secret. This sh*t is just strangely funny!!!
Jilly Bean Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I guess its her appearance of being a good girl, but in actuality f**king a guy in secret. This sh*t is just strangely funny!!! What appearance? You also said that you knew she had a FWB before you pursued her for a date. This is really about you being rejected, because you keep contradicting everything else you're saying.
Author CARL45 Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 No!!! I didn't believe it because I heard this from her when she was drunk. I tend not to take people that seriously when they are drunk, but who really cares right! you can believe what you want to believe! I am ending this!
Cracker Jack Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 You did the right thing as far as getting to the point. Unfortunately, she didn't feel the same. It's okay to feel annoyed, but you can't really be upset with her at this point. It's something you'll forget about in due time.
Feelin Frisky Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 ...Everything looked well until I tried to ask for another date. She told me that this is not a date right? We're just hanging out because I will never be your girlfriend... This would frost me. Why would a woman respond to an advance only to say something like that? My response to that would probably be: "so you're doing me a favor? Keep it." Perhaps you missed some cues and got some higher expectations than you should have. If someone begrudgingly agrees to have coffee with me I'd be reading that from the get go. Well, enjoy your day and thanks for the company but no date offer from me.
