Do you think she would get the message?

I'm single again and there's this girl at work I've been friends with and we had dinner a few times.

I think we are both chicken because we work together. I'm looking for another job so this is not a big obstacle to me.

I was thinking of writing her a song. Nothing too romantic, just a nice little song. Do you think that would send her a clear message that I'm interested in more than being friends?

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't really like it if a guy wrote me a song. Unless we madly in love.

Just take her on a romantic dinner and make a move afterwards!

Uhm.... That would not go over too well with me, but I don't know her.

I'd prefer a well- thought out date, maybe a card with a letter (handwritten) for me to read when I'm alone, or day/road trip to somewhere we have in common (lighthouse, zoo, Disney, ). Nothing too heavy.

I'm getting out of there so it's not a consideration.

So you guys think it would be too bold?

It was kind of a trick question because I already played her the song.

We are both shy but she has been calling and emailing more often since then.

If she already has a major thing for you, it could be very sweet.

But if she isn't interested, you will seem like a psycho.

Ask her out when you leave. If she says yes, you can start considering that song.

I did this before.

My advice is you shouldn't write poems or songs until you're deep in a long term relationship.

So would it be safe to say that she's interested if she didn't freak out?

She's been getting closer since then...

She's probably wondering what's up with this guy.... does he like me? If he did he would ask me out already!

You played her the song... now ask her out.

We actually had dinner one on one a few times. Although there was obvious chemistry, I think we were both too shy or scared. So I thought the song would kind of break the ice.

Ask her out for more intimate dates. Hold her hand, kiss her.. etc.... you get the idea. Have you done that? If not, get going on that the next time you go out.

The song is just a little early on my opinion. You may scare her off and appear desperate. Hold off on at and concentrate on getting to know each other right now.

You mean well, but just wait a little longer.
