soulseeker Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 One of my guy friends has a crush on me. I don't feel that way about him. One of his good friends also has a crush on me. I have had a mild crush on him for over a year. I'm not independently friends with him the way I am with guy number one. I would like to go out with guy number two. How do I navigate this? I let guy number one know that I do not have feelings for him, nearly a year ago, but he still has a crush on me. Thoughts? Sheesh, does that make sense?
Cracker Jack Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 This...really isn't a love triangle. Either way, you should tell guy #1 to let it go, since you will never feel the same about him. If he can't, then the friendship is as good as useless. You shouldn't have to go through this much trouble over essentially nothing. You like guy #2, so pursue him.
Enchanted Girl Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 You can't control or dictate other people's feelings for them. Honestly, if you only like the other guy a little bit (a mild crush as you put it), then don't go after either of them. Ignore both of them because you'll be causing a fight between the two of them over something that you don't even care about that much.
