elaina Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Hello Well obviously I have the movie George of the Jungle on my mind. I was wondering if both men and women have a hard time not judging others or being afraid of being judged and miss out on unconditional love and joy and fun! It's a beautiful thing to have fun and revel in your loved one's presence without feeling like you're being scrutinized or comdenned for not looking, saying, or doing the "right thing." How important is it to you to just be yourself with your loved one and let your loved one know he or she is perfectly free to be him/herself around you?

Confidence is a turn on and if my partner can't be her true self around me then I don't want to be with her. I fell in love with her for who she is and not what she is pretending or trying to be.

Cool! Good point, yeah it is an important kind of confidence, isn't it? I wasn't thinking of it that way but you're right. By the way, I should have put italics around the the title of the thread, which is a quote from the movie. Oops. Anyways, yeah the title is a quote from the movie, which I think is very profound (the quote, not the movie) Edited August 13, 2010 by elaina

I have only had that experience once with an ex and it was wonderful. I am not saying that I don't judge, but I find that side come out in me when I have been put on the defensive.
