Why are the Men in the entertainmen industry so hot but in everyday life not so much?

Well im only 5'8 on a good day and the 6 foot guy will automatically get more attention from women off his height alone from most women, life sucks sometimes..

 

Both genders are shallow...

 

I'm five two, everyone is taller than I am, so anyone taller than five three or so is just "Tall" to me.

Great points its usually the less fortunate in looks who complain about the unfair rules and they want to tell you how unshallow they are becasue they say looks dont matter

 

The only people who say looks dont matetr at all are people who arent attractive enough to wait for looks to be high on level of importance,if they had more options theyd be more shallow

There's this thing called commercialism in the media. Beautiful women and hansome men are hand-picked for their probable appeal to the widest audience--especially when it comes to television and magazines because it either sells products or sells the unit of media itself. One must learn to distinguish media illusion from every day real reality. Such good-looking people do not represent real reality. Even the most beautiful and hunky hunk don't look like they do in real life like they do on screen or in still print. They are enhanced with make up, personal trainers and what not. It's all about cash and no laws or social consciousness exist to treat the damage these illusions cause to impreesionable young minds.

 

I once answered a call for male models/possible acting roles when I was at my peak of looks and dress. I wasn't interested in being a male model but I just went to the test in NYC to see if I had any qualities that were desireable--that after being a fat kid and suffering low self-esteem because of recurrent obesity until then. I was chosen among 25 other dudes. 500 other guys got the heeve ho. Made me feel good that I had a look at the time. But inside me I just wanted no part of chasing riches through whoring myself to commercialism. I see it as an ugly careless underbelly of free market capitalism. Thanks for your thread, it gave me a platform to sound off and blow my own horn.

Why in my dreams will beautiful women walk up to me ask to give me a bj, but this never happens on the street? Seriously though, go to a gym if you want to met hot men. That is where they spend a lot time.

I agree with this. People are as shallow as their options. Either become comfortable with the level of people you attract or work on being more attractive. The rest is just trying to be angry at something that will not change.

They are all attractive because they went through "casting calls" and that was a requirement. I'm sure if there were casting calls for people that don't look like models, it would be the other way around.

Go to the weights section of any decent gym at a big city and you will find tons of good looking muscular hunky men.

2) When did I ever say Personality is not very important?
