We've been living together a year and a half and have been dating for nearly two years. We've had our ups & downs just like everyone else.

Fast forward to now. I'v been staying with his family in a foreign country and I can't speak the language. Now he says I need to "change" without specifying...he broadly says:

I have too much attitude - when he is the one who constantly puts me down with names like stupid, slut, ugly, idiot, b*tch, etc.

I am not responsible enough/ not independent enough - when he says this his sister always chimes in, with agreement. But he does all her paperwork for her - taxes, FAFSA, everything. Whenever I try to do something independently I get made fun of if I mess up (the other day I was supposed to be roasting peanuts and I burned them and everyone called me an idiot). It feels as if I can do nothing right, so I like to ask for help.

I'm immature - Well, yes. I admit to this a little. But calling me names is also.

What to do? I have my faults, as does everyone. But for him to say simply I am screwed up and nearly beyond hope..and I must change if I want to eb good enough for him and his family is a little harsh I think.

I suggest you go back to your home. He's not worth it.

Why on Earth would you date or be near anyone who is calling you such things? I'll echo the advice already given: Get out. Go home. Drop him.

There's no excuse for that sort of behavior, especially as a pattern.

Yeah! Right after you kick him in the balls and step on his face with your high heeled boots. You're being abused. Get free of this jerk.
