General LoveFist Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hey guys + gals! Basically long story short i decided to get back in touch with a girl i used to speak with and was quiet close with until two months ago when i upset her (It was really stupid). Anyway i decided that sitting around would not solve the situation so i sent her a rather long text message saying how much i missed her and valued our friendship. I was just wondering, how long should i wait before establishing she ain't going to bother messaging me back ... i understand it might take a while for her to think about what decision she should make ... but how long is too long?
MyNameIsJane Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Well USUALLY, I would say one to two days. If I got a text like that, I would probably message the person back rather soon after I read it if I had any intention of re-establishing a friendship. That being said... there are always exceptions... it depends on what is going on with her when you sent it... she may be working - might not have been able to read it until much later. Or maybe read it immediately but was in a situation where she couldn't respond. There have been instances where I have had intentions of responding to someone later in the day when I could organize my thoughts and then totally forgot to do so. In that kind of case, you seriously might receive a text like a week from now. But usually - one or two days.
