brainygirl Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 So the guy I've been seeing for a few months kinda brought up a camping trip with his kid and my kids in a couple of weeks. I like camping, and so do my kids I'm not worried about that aspect of it. But this guy hasn't really met my kids and they haven't met him yet. We've kept things pretty low key. At first I was excited about the invitation, but now I'm getting nervous. Thoughts?
phineas Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Kevin Bacon in White Water Summer? J/K. You guys deffinetly need to get your kids together before hand to see if they get along. You don't want to wind up spending the weekend camping with 4 kids that hate each other.
carhill Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Yeah, having had a few such experiences, it's probably healthier to co-mingle the kids a few times closer to home prior to an extended trip into a remote location with RV's and/or tents involved. IME, bringing kids together is an important milestone in a developing relationship, since most people are protective of their children's psyches wrt parents 'dating', age-appropriate of course. Hope it works out
