alexlakeman Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I guss being a guy, I am the one typically dictating who's an fwb or booty call etc... lol... Today, met up with an ex g/f for drinks, etc.. and joking around she said "we're just freinds with benifits" ... lol.. awsome.. I did not have to act like I want a relationship or anything, just fun, drinking , and sex.. It's nice when women are confident enough not to beat around the bush, lol like that. I've had another (technically) that I feel like a booty call to her, b/c she only sees me late, never on weekends... leaves first thing in the a.m. Too bad I wanted a relationship with this one, lol... I guess women are like men, they have needs, and depending how horny they are , they get what they want... Of course, "not" the case with all women. .. but is that how it is with some women on here?
zengirl Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Sure, sometimes girls want FWB. It's the way most women I know prefer to have casual sex because they don't have to get into anything, but they can still keep their number down. I find FWB confusing, but I know lots of girls who have them.

I honestly don't understand how women can be in a fwb situation and not get attached at some point if it goes on long enough women just arnt wired like men...
jamesum Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I heard some women have a guy whom they just use for sex while they are looking for a guy for serious relationship or if they just got into a relationship and wanna make the guy wait while they themselves have a problem waiting so they just bang their fwb in the meantime.
Gallaxia Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 FWB is a dangerous thing on the human psyche on a subconscious level. It's only "recently" that it's caught on with the masses but it'll be scary to see it's actual effects waaaay down the road. No joke. *buckles seat-belt*
nikayla Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I honestly don't understand how women can be in a fwb situation and not get attached at some point if it goes on long enough women just arnt wired like men... Agreed. I urge the OP to read some threads from the Other man /Other Woman forums.
ngo_ng Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I think I was a booty call for my Ex just until she dumped me for the other guy last week. I think she was just too confused and didn't know what she wanted. We had broken up last month but were being the greatest couple ever. We had great times together, dated, slept together, had very intimate and meaningful (for me anyway) sex, and intense hard core sex. During the same time, she was seeing someone else. I knew this, I expressed my discontentment but I also respected the fact that she wanted to be single and see what she wants for herself. I just never thought she would go and chose him over me, I guess I lost the gamble of a lifetime. Yea, she used me as FWB until she was sure to make the change to the other guy. Kind of sucks...but at least I had some action... I guess...lol its good but it hurts even more knowing you were used.
TouchedByViolet Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I know many girls who do the FWB or casual relationship life style. In my experience just as many women participate in this if not more than men. I'm one of the guys who takes no part in it and finds it very impersonal and unsatisfying.
jamesum Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I dont mind having a woman on the side for sex but I dont wanna be the man on the side for sex.
zengirl Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I dont mind having a woman on the side for sex but I dont wanna be the man on the side for sex. That doesn't just make you a hypocrite. It actually makes you a pretty cruel and disgusting person. Because it implies you're screwing around with girls who are actually into you.

Hey, if you are happy boinking an ex and it doesn't get in the way of finding a real relationship, which I have my doubts, just go with it. Women are just like men and men can be just like women. I never quite got that gender thing.
Serenitynow Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Welcome to the club, I wonder how many more people are members and not admitting it ? Edited July 27, 2010 by Serenitynow
Gallaxia Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yeah! I did it once, and one time only! It did not end well.... NEVER AGAIN!
Gattica Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yeah! I did it once, and one time only! It did not end well.... NEVER AGAIN! Why is that? I considered FWB recently and I couldn't convince myself to do so.
Gallaxia Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Why is that? I considered FWB recently and I couldn't convince myself to do so. I was young & naive. I thought I could handle it. When I realized I couldn't, and tried to end it, he suddenly wanted to try for more. It turned into a major circus & a stage production. I couldn't make heads or tails of it, so I just cut loose.
Sanman Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I seem to attract a lot of women who want this and have tried it. In general, it usually doesn't end well. Either one person falls in love with the FWB or one person finds a serious ltr and the other is angry about losing benefits. Only in one case has it ever worked for me and it was because we only hooked up when drunk. I wasn't into her except physically and she was still hung up on an ex.
