BellaBellaBella Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 My poor dog died. I actually had to have him PTS. He had been sick for along time. I took him to the vet's multiple times. We all knew he was on borrowed time. But I really really loved him. He was my shadow and he adored me. He would literally sit by the door and stare at it till I came home. Okay, maybe laid down some. But I am grieving about this. My kid is upset, my husband not so much. I am distraught. I have another dog as well. But it sleep with my child.
Thorgs Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'm sorry for your loss. Just think how much pain he would still be in if you had him around. Let the memory of him live on forever and celebrate his life
quankanne Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 oh bella – I'm truly sorry about your loss, because I know how these little critters take over a huge chunk of our hearts with little effort. As hard as the decision must've been, you're a truly loving mama to release your pup from suffering ... hugs to you, q
GrayClouds Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Sorry about your loss. It is very hard to loose a friend. Mickleb is going through the similar loss right now too: Here is link there may be some words of comfort in the thread for you: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t236142/b1e1777ffbe038507c3207409a3be540
Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Thank you so much! I miss my little baby so much. I have another dog, but its aways by my daughter. It's just not the same. I never realized how much I counted on his warm little 15lb body to be right beside me.
Thorgs Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 My twin sister has a huge English Mastiff. She is the most loving and gentle dog in the world to her and her 2 year old son. The only down side is, English Mastiff's have a shorter life span than most dogs...but for that time, she will make many memories for my sister and nephew. I think a great way to say goodbye to loved ones, whether it's a person or a pet, is to celebrate their life.
Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 I love mastiffs. I am sorry your sister's died. I do cherish my dog's memory. I was expecting this. It wasn't like it was a shock. I am a stahm and the dog was touching me all the time. I feel so sad and a little wacko right now.

I think she senses my sisters marriage is coming to an end and through moving in the military, etc. It's amazing what these animal are aware of and can sense. Just writing this is making me miss my old pal You will be alright. We should start a thread where people can post pictures their past pets with a short story in a way to celebrate their lives.
Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 Sorry I misunderstood. I am really rattled tonight. Between Beans, my husband and everything I am so rattled. It's ok, sadly I'm used to being alone. Let's just make up a story that your husband got struck by lightning and his SD was zapped
Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 Your to funny. It must have gotten zapped before I met him. We have both been on opposite ends of the spectrum our whole marriage. He did get blood work done for testerone however.

Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 I cannot post the problem on open forum. How come you don't have private messages? If you have them turned on I would tell you the deal.
Author BellaBellaBella Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 BTW I think Sammy needs to go to the ER and get some sedation. Otherwise they are going to take him to the padded cell.

Thorgs Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Is Sammy wearing you out? He is wearing me out. I have to get a different laptop to use aim. brb. I'd rather not answer that but...yes. He will be fine as long as he keeps his cool and doesn't freak out like he is right now...but it's hard when you have no one else to talk to in real life so he's just venting.
