brokendream Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 (edited) I split up with my ex about a month ago because of a sex texting/internet addiction I found out he had. Not going to go into it again...detail is in a previous post http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t235755/. Anyway after deciding to give him a chance to change and letting him know I'd help him through it he just turned around and said he wanted a clean break and didn't want any contact. He hadn't contacted me in over 3 weeks when yesterday he sent me a package with some clothes I requested and a cheap toy my dog left behind in his house. He never replied to the request when I asked him for the clothes back and as the clothes weren't belonging to me I needed to get them back pronto. A few days later he text to say that he had sent the package and to ask me to apologize to my friend for the delay. I just thanked him as a response. Then he start sending texts asking about my dog...how he is and if he's enjoying having his toy back. I just said “yes he's playing with it now..I didn't even know you had it. thanks for sending it”. He just said "Aw that's really great :-) I knew he would miss it so decided to send it on" After everything that happened between and nothing but silence after 3 weeks it's very strange that he'd ask about my dog like he was a child! He didn't even ask how I was. Knowing him and how indirect he is I know this isn't the last time I'll hear from him but I'll go back to NC anyway. Anyone had any experience of an ex trying to worm their way into speaking with you again by asking about trivial things?
