rivermagic Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Well... I broke it off with my ex a few days ago. He told me he was coming to get his stuff later that day, he did not show up. He did not show up to get it. A few days later he was knocking on the door. He tells me he just wanted to let me know would be back later on this week to get his things, just incase i decided to throw it out. He asked how I was doing...and also how my son was. I just said good. And he started making small talk, telling me what he had been doing, and how the weather was. Then he went back to asking what stuff was all here. I really do want him back, but at that moment I was lost for works. I was polite and friendly. But I didn't say much. I feel really bad about, not talking enough, and I do really want him back. What I am wondering is, why does he keep showing up telling me that he will be back for his stuff? And why the small talk... and being so nice after I broke up with him?
USMCHokie Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 He's just trying to extend the contact for as long as he can...I remember back in the day when I'd only get a few of my things at a time whenever I went to pick up all my stuff...just hoping that one more visit was all it would take for her to change her mind...
mella Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I think it sounds like he's being nice so you don't throw away or destroy his belongings. He is keepin' it friendly so there's minimal drama.
