Explorer Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I guess I'm asking to my male counterparts, but females please feel free to chime in if you want. I'm a 27 yr old male with what some may consider an excessive amount of sexual experience. I've probably slept with (Stopped counting) somewhere between 60-80 women. BTW - STD free. What I'm trying to figure out is where is the line between male sexual experience being impressive and slutty. Does it begin and end at a certain age? Societal conditioning has lead me to believe at an early age that the more women a male sleeps with, the better. However, my conscious has always told me otherwise and I just chose to ignore it. For example: I was at a club last night and an attractive woman approached and flirted with me. I couldn't help but to respond back and we ended up making out toward the end of the night. After waking up this morning, I just felt kind of unclean and classless. My other friends weren't doing this, but I'm not sure if they weren't because they couldn't find a woman or they believed that they just had more class. Mi male amigos - do you believe that at a certain age you should tone down the sexual assertiveness with someone you just met? How would you perceive someone that does this with a lot of women?
threebyfate Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 IMO, as a woman, male promiscuity isn't impressive, at any level.

It would be a complete turn-off. BTW, being an experienced, good lover doesn't come from simply sleeping with large numbers of random women. That's just variety. And IME, the worst lovers I've ever had were those who had high numbers.

I wonder sometimes how guys can be so clueless about sex that they are impressed when they hear that another guy has had sex with so many different women. It just brings to mind loads of sessions lasting 10 mins or less!
Author Explorer Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 lol male opinions, please? BTW - I am not, and would not, discuss this with a woman as a technique to impress her if we were talking. I already know this obviously would be a turn-off to females and clearly would prevent me from getting any further with any type of woman (Classy or not). What I'm mostly looking for is how males perceive another male of this type....
OnlyJake Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 What I'm mostly looking for is how males perceive another male of this type.... I don't think men tend to think about other men's sex lives. I have a hard time imaging a guy caring about how many women any other guy has slept with. It sounds ridiculous to me. I also do think that men who go through the phase you've apparently been going through (most guys don't feel the need to do what you've done, IMO/E) tend to grow out of it.

I meant if they saw a guy who was able to get lots of women - would it generally be pereceived as positively (e.g. wow that guy's a pimp) or negatively (wow that guy's a classless slut) or does it change with age?
Star Gazer Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 didn't mean thinking about my sex life in their spare time. I meant if they saw a guy who was able to get lots of women - would it generally be pereceived as positively (e.g. wow that guy's a pimp) or negatively (wow that guy's a classless slut) or does it change with age? Why do you care what men think? Are you trying to sleep with them? Are you bi-sexual? If not, why do you care about whether it impresses them? Are you boasting about the notches on your bedpost? If so, why? Kinda sad, if you ask me.

Yeah, exactly. I don't think men spend too much time thinking about those things. I think you're making the mistake of thinking that other guys think about this as much as you apparently do.
Author Explorer Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 I genuinely posted this thread in wanting to get a better understanding about level of male perceptions developed through age. I didn't expect to get attacked by a bunch of bitter women. You know, it doesn't take much to be nice to someone. And if you don't want to constructively help with the original post, I don't understand why the next intention is to attack and judge. IME, the way you treat someone is is a reflection of how you're feeling inside. Kinda sad, if you ask me.
tami-chan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 After waking up this morning, I just felt kind of unclean and classless. LOL!!!!! Do you think she lost respect of you? Oh brother....too funny! After 80 women (or more? ) now you feel this way...or have you always felt this way every after wanton, random sex? Mi male amigos - do you believe that at a certain age you should tone down the sexual assertiveness with someone you just met? I'm not one of your male amigos, but would chime in anyway ...I think you should not tone it down. What for? continue the way you are..is that not the "real you?";) How would you perceive someone that does this with a lot of women? How do YOU think you are perceived? you are just some guy who likes to have sex with a lot of different women! Do you have anything else to offer? Is there anything more to you?
Lizzie60 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I agree with you that it would NOT be a good idea to discuss your sexual experience with any female you're interested in... that would definitely scare the sh*t out of her. I also agree that society view male promiscuity very differently that they see female promiscuity... I've heard (more than once) fathers being 'kind of proud' that their son was having a lot of fun sexually... One of those dads even bought his son some condoms.. and ask him to 'practise' putting them on.. this one was proud that all the girls were drooling over his son..

Regardless of your perception of my opinion, that doesn't change that it's a valid opinion/stance.
threebyfate Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Explorer, in your opening post, you did solicit female opinion, therefore, received female opinion. But it's true that there are A LOT of men who want to be validated by other men, for their sexual prowess. It's also true that there's a component of men who do high-five each other for their bed notches.
LondonS Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Someone like me wont touch you with an iron rod..and I am considered a highly classy and attractive professional girl.. All the best !

Yeah, I have always felt this way after these type of relationships mainly because they were temporary and meaningless. I guess I need more self-discipline in wanting to create something more special. Yes, I have a lot to offer btw.

GoodOnPaper Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I meant if they saw a guy who was able to get lots of women - would it generally be pereceived as positively (e.g. wow that guy's a pimp) or negatively (wow that guy's a classless slut) or does it change with age? I really wouldn't think much about the guy one way or the other -- my thoughts would turn to my own lack of success with women by comparison. I've never had casual sex, never picked up a woman in a bar or club -- supposedly, marriage and family is so much better, but my experience hasn't lived up to that. In other words, you can be as sexually assertive as you want with women at whatever age -- I have my own monkeys on my back to worry about . . .

There's a difference between discussing sex with your friends, and wondering how the general population would perceive your "sexploits," which is how I interpreted the OP. I'm sure Explorer knows how his friends feel about him/what they think of him, so I doubt that's what he was asking. If he was, he should clarify. I honestly don't think guys (as a general entity) give a **** about other guys' sex lives, just like women don't give a **** about other women's sex lives that they don't know, or barely know. I agree that there can be exceptions - such as bored, catty/gossips, or immature guys who are looking for validation. I suppose that the older you get, the worse you look/are perceived when you're overly lascivious or sexual toward women. The extreme being a dirty old man.
tami-chan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 haha no I don't think she lost respect considering she was more of the aggressor. and you couldn't say no...because.....? she would have beaten you up? told her friends what a sissy you are for turning her down? Yeah, I have always felt this way after these type of relationships mainly because they were temporary and meaningless.well...I think calling them "relationships" is a stretch, but whatever.... so you feel bad because they are temporary and meaningless and you think you deserve to have a more permanent, profound, and meaningful relationship? I guess I need more self-discipline in wanting to create something more special. You guess? hmmm...I think you know this is a character flaw... Yes, I have a lot to offer btw.I will take your word for it...so how will one discover those other things before they she "takes advantage "of your lack of discipline in that area?
