gopher Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was talking with someone new from an online dating site....we talked once on the phone, were suppose to talk tonight and were thinking about meeting...But, something wasn't clicking for me...it just felt off, for no reason I could pinned down. So, I didn't call tonight...instead I sent her an email that I felt that we weren't a match and wished her good luck. I didn't want to just disappear on her, especially since I said I would call. So, in a situation like this, do you want someone to let you know it's not working or is it ok if they just fade away?
BobSacamento Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I would have at least met her to be for sure. Was she not your "type". AKA was like 5 or 6/ 10 lol
Author gopher Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 No, LOL...nothing on the looks-side....one, she had 6 kids, that's alot and also, she's an artist who draws nude men with erect penises, real guys posing for her....I didn't think that would make for a great conversation during her workday, "Hi honey, what's up?" I readily admit that maybe that shouldn't have mattered, I'm sure she's a professional about it. But, I felt like that wasn't something I wanted to deal with. I have no doubt there are plenty of guys out there, who it won't bother.
BobSacamento Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Yup I'd say when other dude with boners enter the picture, that's a deal breaker.
carhill Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Whoa, six kids? IMO, it's always better to clearly communicate as it sets a pattern for future interactions with those who you do find interesting and pursue. That was the singular most frustrating and painful aspect of my single years; all the quiet rejections from women. Quiet meaning disappearing without comment or explanation... Good on ya for being straight up with her.
Trialbyfire Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Six kids and men with hard-ons for a job? You do realize there's a theme here, don't you? I think you did the right thing.
Sibyl Vane Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 You'd always be wondering if you even compare to all of those cocks she saw during the work day. And I have a slight suspicion she has so many children because she eats them. The 6 were the ones she liked and couldn't consume. Just a vibe I picked up.
SoulSearch_CO Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 LOL...I don't think you made a bad choice at all - calling this one off. She sees that much cock in a day and can't find a date? But I will say - it was damn decent of you to send her an email rather than just disappearing. Good job, man.
Author gopher Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Thanks all...I got a reply from her thanking me for the email, and that she was feeling like I would just be a friend anyway. So, it all worked out.
4givrnt4gtr Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I think you did the right thing by letting her know so that she isnt sitting at home wondering whats going on. That was very courageous and gentlemanly of you. Props!
BCCA Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Wow, 6 kids? I hope painting other dudes schlongs pays well! I would have bailed, too, but you did the right thing. Treat others as you would want to be treated, or something like that.
