Shandy Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I can't seem to talk to anyone about this as the most common response is, oh you're so lucky to have two guys to choose from. In reality, it's miserable. I love both guys, one is extremely caring and always put me first, the other one is more like me, but usually puts his needs before mine. Between the two of them, I have all my dating needs met, so I have no interest in dating anyone else. Yet it's so difficult to let one of them go. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? Who did you end up with?
Sibyl Vane Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 You like them both, not love. The first one is your best bet.
Mahatma Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I found myself in a similar situation a long time ago, only with two girls. I chose the wrong one. Now 7 years later I am dating the other one and it is going strong. Go with whatever one you really want. Whenever I hear this "can't decide" stuff, I think of someone who just enjoys having two people compete for them. If I was in a situation and the girl couldn't decide within a month of serious dating, that would be the end of it.
Author Shandy Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Mahatma, which one was the right one? The one you liked more? I actually don't enjoy this situation one bit and am forcing myself to make a decision. I'm going to pick one, and then cut off contact with the other one. It's the right thing to do but I'm so depressed about it.

I initially picked the wrong one (I dated her for a rocky 5 months and then broke up), and now 7 years later I am dating the other one and it is going wonderfully. My point was that it really doesn't matter. You do not need to worry about picking the right or wrong one. The one I picked first I picked not because I liked her more, I picked her because there was more lust there, which is probably why it was rocky and failed.
