rugger Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Hey everyone! I am new to the forum, I was recommended to come here because I am in dire need of advice. Please help. I have been with a guy for three years and he broke up with me in August telling me that it was unfulfilling. Well we went two months without talking and then we started talking again in October, sure enough November we became intimate again and we started spending alot more time together. ALOT. So of course I am thinking we are going to get back together or basically we were together. I mean I was there all the time. Well he tells me he loves me all the time and asks me if i love him and i tell him of course i do. Well I asked him was he ever going to ask me to marry him, he told me "in a lil while" so i said okay. Well two weeks ago, he broke off things with me again, I am so sad about it. Its like arent we together?! But he was like he doesnt want a girlfriend. I also found out that his best friend which is a woman that he is really close too, theyve always had feelings towards ach other, but he always tells her she deserves more and isnt willing to ruin the relationship and she agrees. well while he shuts me out he always keeps her in his life always. like she knows more about him that i do, he always goes to her first if anything happens and wouldnt tell me anything..like he never shared alot w me, he would beg her to stay inhis life and i have caught them a couple of times talkinga bout their feelings for each other..he also tells her how he is nt happy and how he wants to be more of a man..i never knew what all this meant so i would be jealous in my mind. he never knew i knew what they talk about. He told me that he can only be a representative for so long and that the time has run its course. I have NO idea what that means! He also told me the only thing he can offer a girl in a relationship is a GOOD TIME. I have no idea what that means! And when we broke up saying "it was unfulfilling" What does these things mean. Do you guys know what these means????! Does he want to be with me? Please help!

It means he's a waste of time. Move on. Sounds easier said than done, but seriously, this guy sounds like SUCH a waste of time. I mean, come onnn. He's not going to change, and you're not going to figure out a miracle solution here. It didn't work the first, it didn't work the second time, it ain't gonna work the third time either.

My initial impression was he meant that it was unfulfilling sexually. Well we went two months without talking and then we started talking again in October, sure enough November we became intimate again Think about that. That is pretty convenient for him, isn't it? So of course I am thinking we are going to get back together or basically we were together. I mean I was there all the time. I am guessing here, but sex, or activities related to it were a part of the time spent together every time. Well I asked him was he ever going to ask me to marry him, he told me "in a lil while" so i said okay. Well two weeks ago, he broke off things with me again, I am so sad about it. Its like arent we together?! But he was like he doesnt want a girlfriend. It was a stall. I believe he considered you a 'booty call', and declaring that he'd no intention of marrying you would hardly keep you a willing participant. He doesn't want a girlfriend; he wants the perks of having one. He told me that he can only be a representative for so long and that the time has run its course. I have NO idea what that means! He also told me the only thing he can offer a girl in a relationship is a GOOD TIME. I have no idea what that means! For the first, I honestly have no idea. For the second, he was basically saying it was a booty call. I am only offering my opinion so straightforward, because were our positions reversed it is what I would want. Best of luck.

But he feels comfortable to be with you, like his family member. But there's no love involve. He came back to you mainly because he was lonely that time, or maybe his relationship with his best friend was not good at that time, he needed someone be his side and you are first one came to his mind. He knew you would be always there for him. Basically, can say that you are been used. He said he loves you because he felt guilty about it, he want to settle down with you because he thinks you will be a good wife and he feels safe. He want to break with you again because he suddenly realises that life is short and it supposes to be more fulfilling. I would advice not to go back to him because he will never love you again.
