I was at the gym tonight and this very pretty girl and i were exchanging eye contact for a good 20 min. I even caught her staring at me and when i looked her she quickly looked away haha. If i were to give her a little smile, would that scare her away? or would it help the process of maybe contact between the two of us??

 

I didnt smile at her tonight. I just feel like girls would get weirded out if a random guy was smiling at her from across the way IMO. Is this true ladies?

It would not come across as creepy at all. Smiling is just a way of acknowledging someone and being friendly. It sounds to me like you are analyzing this too much. She wont think anything of it. If you want to show that you are interested, you need to actually go up to her and talk.

Not at all.. she probably thinks you're not interested since you're looking at her but you're not smiling... A smile would certainly show her you're interested.. Who knows, she could be your next girlfriend.

How would i strike up a convo in the gym! Seems like a tough place to find something to talk about other than my massive muscles :p

Mental muscles arnt as good as my real muscles :laugh:. I was trying to see what she was doing to think of a convo starter but nothing came to mind so i left. Ugh if i just had a tad more confidence i would be golden!

Silly as it sounds, practicing a smile and talking in the mirror helps. If you're having confidence problems, you need to envision yourself being suave and funny around her. Just like a basketball player pictures the ball going through the basket before a free throw. Practice a little at home. Then, when you see her again, go to that place in your mind, imagine you're Clooneyesque and that she can't resist your charm.

 

You still have to clear the hurdle of actually doing it, and that is all up to you. Nothing we say can push you into the deep end. Just remember - she is one girl among billions! She should be so lucky for you to approach her. Get to it, Romeo.

Running good game in the gym can be quite difficult, as girls are in there to workout and leave. Another reason its difficult is many girls feel self conscious because they dont have make up on or look there best.

 

Its not impossible though. You need to walk up to her, or any of the other hotties in there, with confidence like you own the place. Are your muscles really big? thats intimidating and makes you look stronger then the other guys in there, which helps.

 

SHE will be the timid one, as she has this image that your at the gym all the time and she feels out of place because she might have just started going there, etc..

 

BE CONFIDENT, AND GET IT DONE.

 

as for lines, joke around with her-dont be serious-like i said if ur a big strong guy you want to open up friendly so shes not intimidated.

 

use "hey can u give me a spot? be careful tho I bench 1000lbs" something like that in a joking tone.

Smiling would not creep out a girl that was actually interested in you. And aren't those the ones you'd rather approach, anyway?
