Somehow, I don't think that's quite what she had in mind.

Love potion? I'll give you a love potion. Then again, maybe not. I'll just get bashed.

How does he compare to your ex husband personality wise?

Does he have that intensity/force that you've said you look for in men? Is he exactly in line with what you've found attractive in the past, or is he different in some way?

I'm trying to get a sense of his personality.

He's like my ex but totally unlike him. The major difference is that my snowman is someone who I've instinctually trusted because he's like a rock, dependable and real. He's a deeper, kinder, less selfish personality.

And what I was thinking is that if you really weren't sure it wouldn't be a "mini" leap. It would be a BIG leap of faith. But you didn't say that.

I can totally relate to the "mini" leap of faith. I know exactly where you're coming from.

So what this comes down to is how sure you are when you accept a proposal, right?

You know what? I think the more important question is how sure are you when you take your vows.

Let's really look at what is important in the end here.

And again, as I said earlier...better a broken promise than a broken heart (from divorce.)

You totally get where I'm coming from.

Me too! Me too! I could use some trial samples. Or a gallon bottle...actually, make it two. :bunny::bunny:

Personally, I'm envious as hell as I've been more than a little lonely lately. But, I am thrilled for you, as well as for sb and allina and star!

And I wish you and the snowman all the best.

Thanks nj.

Are you offering a volume discount??

 You ladies are perking up my business opportunity sense!

Not in everything, but yep, in this I do think I do. I've been right where you are now.

Send me a case! :lmao:

I'm contemplating using it on someone, well rescuing/asking someone; we'll leave that for another thread.

Hmmm...sounds interesting. I look forward to hearing about it. Perhaps it's not only the LS women who are or will be getting lucky this year. :)

Things are going very well, wwiu. :)

We've managed to get our mothers in line with numbers for the "party" and have booked our venue, which is a relief! Beyond that, the rest will be a piece of cake, since we've got so much time to take care of it. No church necessary, since neither is religious and it's also our second marriage.

TBF, congratulations!!

And I am unfortunately very, very not surprised. I am really starting to see why so many regulars either leave or take extended time away from LS. The sheer negativity of this place...

CE, were you talking about me? :p

And to answer for myself what Tara brings up, of COURSE I would have preferred he had waited to propose. I mean he could have at least waited until I was legally divorced!:lmao: I was completely caught off guard.

I guess he didn't want to lose you and your wooden spoon! :p
