Well I'm I definitly picking up on a mutual attraction, but theres a slight quirk: She's kindof on the religious side, and I'm not really involved in religion. I was going to ask her to a concert today, but her friend told me not to bother because she only listens to christian music. I really like her, and she seems to like me too, despite the fact that I'm not that religious. Do you guys think this could make for a rocky relationship? Link to post Share on other sites

Attraction may have to be cancelled in favor of friendship. I happen to relate to your notion of not really being involved in a religion, although I certainly consider myself a spiritual person. My thought is that you may be able to learn something from her in terms of religion, depending on your openness. I wouldn't completely rule out a relationship, but you're going to have to be pretty clear on what sort of expectation you have of a possible romance with her from the onset. I'm just a little punkish, but then so are alot of christians. . I think it could work because I am spiritual and open, I just have never really been involved with a church, but I do believe in the values of christianity, I just have a problem with the more militant christians and the type that pretend to be your friend to get you to convert. I don't really see this as a problem, in fact I have an ex-girlfriend that is about as religious as she is and that relationship went great until I did something stupid. you look kind of gothic, too, so maybe your views are very very different then hers? Based upon my "knowledge" of the situation from your other thread, I'd almost suspect that he is trying to prevent you from asking her out. I can't say that for certain, but it's a suspicion I have. Honestly, if you like her, and as I have told you now, I really suspect she digs you quite a bit (who can blame her? ) I say go for it. Ask her out, maybe even to the concert(s). If she isn't interested in going to one of them, maybe you could ask her on a date where the two of you can actually talk more. Don't fall into the trap of hearsay; get to know the girl on your own! When I asked him if she was single he was quite open about it. When I told him I wanted to take her to the concert, he said she wouldnt want to go because she listens to christian almost exclusively, and I know this to be true because she told me. I think I have a good idea for something we can do together, since its almost Halloween, theres a horror-themed corn maze the next town over, its quite popular around here. It's about a 30 minute drive to and fro, so It should give us plenty of time to chat, and if she gets scared I'd be right there for her . I do have pretty strong feelings toward negative perceptions of "alternative" people, because when you live in rural Idaho, and your not exactly "normal" then people like to talk. I have several friends who are goths and they are really nice, down to earth people, but then I hear people say, "Oh hes a devil-worshipper, he's in the Trench Coat Mafia, hes going to bring a gun to school" it just pisses me off. Now what would make you think I'd be interested in another pic of him? (By the way, who is he? Pardon my absolute ignorance.) Hmm...perhaps your exessive drooling over my av? lol . He is Davey Havok, the vocalist for the band AFI. LOL, yep I am human and I have made my share of mistakes, but I do my best to learn from them.
