I have a few body piercings myself and I was just wondering how people feel about them

Posted

This is a sexual health section....so that begs the question....is it your genitalia that is pierced?

Honestly to each their own....also not all genitalia, mens or womens, looks as good as others pierced.

Sometime's I like the look of someones piercings and sometimes I don't

Sorry for being so no committal lol

They are a fad. When I look at a female with piercings in her tongue I cringe in pain, identifying with what one must go through to get those installed. Unfortunately, this ornate and decorative undertaking has to be reversed when one goes into the world of employment...at least the ones that are visible. Employers, the higher paying ones, are not disposed to hiring those with visible piercings and tattoos.

I hate things without a purpose. Women are beautiful and the piercings, in most cases, detract from what they have....in my opinion. There are many who love and swear by them. Whatever floats your boat.

Well my personal opinion is it would make me wonder if you were Bi or gay...not really sure why it makes me think that but it does. So if you are one of those then it is fine but I would find it a huge turn-off.

Interesting that porter would wonder if you were prone to liking males....because of some piercings....

It's like how people say tongue piercings on men are for gays because a tongue piercing is only for one thing.

Like I said, each their own, and the different walks of life will have people like them or not.

Some people just like to speculate about other people based on things like piercings. Besides, isn't it obvious that tongue piercings farther back on the tongue are for rubbing against the shaft of a man and piercings further to the front of the tongue are for flicking a woman's clitoris? ;)

NEVER................judge a book by its cover

Strange saying. Judging books by covers works well for people a lot of the time. If I'm in the mood for a good autobiography, and I pick up a book whose cover says Dragon Rider and has a picture of a man with a sword riding on the back of a dragon, I generally assume the book is sci fi or fantasy and move on. I might be wrong, but it is more efficient over all to judge the book by its cover and move on than to take the time to read every book enough to be sure.

It is the same way with people. If you see a man with a argyle socks, slacks, a button up shirt with a pocket protector and glasses, it is usually more efficient to assume he is more likely a calculus teacher than a member of an inner city street gang. The cover reflects the personality of the person who chooses it. More often the problem is not that the cover doesn't reflect the person but that we think we know stuff about the cover that simply isn't accurate or true.

It has been like that for as long as people have adorned themselves, I guess. I can't help but wonder if it is something hardwired into the human brain - the ability to notice differences may trigger some ancient 'self preservation' thing in our brains... perhaps at some point in human development, "different" = "dangerous" on some level.

I understand that it was very likely that you weren't gay...It is just a gut reaction to nipple piercings on a man. When I was younger I had a bf who had the exact same piercings as you, he was really hot. When I found out about the piercings I just couldn't find myself attracted anymore. He wasn't bi either(that I know of), but somehow it always made me wonder. I think that even if I am having sex with a man and he wants me to pinch or suck on his nipples the whole 'gay' thing crosses my mind.

I think piercings on females are incredibly sexy, especially nipple bars and tongue rings. I think external piercings such as lip and eyebrow are tacky and unattractive however.

Personally, I think they are very trashy looking .I really do not see the point of people putting extra holes in in their body parts for the purpose of adornment.

It all depends on who you are trying to attract. I personally do not like tattoos or body piercings on my women, aside from a belly button ring (which I can do without).

If I see a tongue ring, the first thing that does through my head is that person likes to suck d*ck. Nothing wrong with that, but I see it as kinda outwardly slutty.

On guys, body piercings just scream gay in my opinion.

Don't be mad at people for voicing their opinions when that is what you asked for.

I wasn't aware of such a huge lean in view by people in piercings.

I always just assumed out generation was more accepting of piercings and that the old timers are the ones that don't get it.

Funny how culturally there is such a difference.

In tribes in other countrys, piercings and tats on men...are part of becoming a man. As well as scarification art.

I can deal with tattoos or even earrings(diamond studs only) on men or even nipple piercing on women but all that extra piercing on men is really a huge turn-off. I find it as out of place as a man wearing eye liner(which some men with piercings do).

Dislike piercings (though they can be okay sometimes) but looooooove eyeliner. ;)

hmm, I think girls look good with piercings as long as its not over-done and the piercings are symmetrical.

Nipple rings(assuming breast feeding was possible post removal), a tongue ring and depending on the case - clitoral-hood ring/labia rings.

They all are quiet attractive.

nipple piercings and c*ck piercings on a guy are the biggest turn off to me.

especially seeing a guy with both ears pierced with loop earrings, that just screams pirate to me lol

i just recently seen a chic who got her sternum pierced? seriously your sternum? ppl will put a piercing anywhere nowadays doesnt make it attractive.

Ok, don't bash me for saying this but I think more than one piercing in each ear on a woman is kind of low-class.

As far as men? Piercings and tattoos were always a deal-breaker for me. Not my cup 'o tea. I'm even turned off by men who wear jewelry of any kind.

Well, I guess there's always the exception that proves the rule....

I'm cut-glass accent British. I'm so posh people think I'm royalty!

Of course, I can 'play it up' or 'play it down' according to necessity.... I'm usually very smartly dressed (part of the job) as I have to meet clients on a regular basis and be highly presentable, 90% of the time.

I have 9 tattoos and one belly-button piercing.

I've been told on more than one occasion, "Goodness, I didn't think you were the type....!"

To which I reply -

"And what type would that be....?" *sweet smile*...... :p

I suspect you fall into the area where "we think we know stuff about the cover that simply isn't accurate or true." Which is exactly what you are pointing out with your, "And what type would that be....?" question. The prospect of having to anwer that question prompts people to consider how little they actually know about what kinds of people get tattoos and why they get them.

Personally, I don't bother asking people why they get them. I just avoid them altogether.

It's their expressions that floor me.....!

Like a goldfish caught in revolving doors.......!

.....If you don't know they've got them - how would you avoid them?

And if by NOT avoiding them and befriending them, what do you then do if you find they've got them? Cut off all contact?
