Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 Ugh. I just re-read what I wrote, and I shivered.
CaliGuy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Ugh. I just re-read what I wrote, and I shivered. SG, group hug for you. (Seriously, you need to ditch that guy like a bad habit. What a 'tard!)
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 SG, group hug for you. (Seriously, you need to ditch that guy like a bad habit. What a 'tard!) Thanks, CG. I don't think ditching is necessary. Methinks Scott clued him in that I will not be entertaining his calls or texts any longer. Now I just gotta wait for Bones to show up and tell me that I'm being too harsh on the guy...
johan Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 ha ha. Star you get an A for effort. You're sure forgiving. I expected you would get up and leave when the tongue started homing in on you, show or no show. But you hung in there and even let him put his arm around you! There is absolutely nothing wrong with bailing the moment you know that there is no hope. You don't have to endure the crazy torture.
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 Johan - I really, really wanted to see who she picked. I am, like I said, OBSESSED with the show. Had it simply been a Kings game or something, I woulda been outta there!
Lishy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Well Star, thank you very much for that VERY entertaining update! You wrote it in such a way that it made me laugh out loud at times and cringe in places!!!!! Wow he turned out to be a major tool! I cracked up when he dived in the left boob and then says "well we have got that over with" Tooooooooo funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This update has cheered my day up no end - I woke up so miserable and now I am smiling
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 LOL - I'm glad I could be of some entertainment for you today, Lishy! Ugh, still so gross.
Lishy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Well at least you can laugh about it - And hey, it will make your next date seem like Don Juan hahhahahhaha
grogster Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Very fine writing, SG. Your bad date made for a great story. You have a deft comic touch. Better luck next time.
sb129 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 'Nother bullet dodged there. Yucky. Did he offer to pay half for the takeout?
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 'Nother bullet dodged there. Yucky. Did he offer to pay half for the takeout? Nope. But he did have a nice bottle of Cab.
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 Wow. No class. Ugh. WTF? That's all I get outta you?
bones1 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 So the guy is 60 lbs overweight(which you know you don't like), you went through the immature texting issue, he asks you out the last minute, and you go buy him food, and go to HIS home. Men USUALLY think it is a green light to have sex if you go to their house, or you invite him to yours. And to be honest, it should be. I think you should know this. He doesn't sound like a good match for you. But I think a bigger flag is him not making a plan with you, and just asking you to come over last minute. Guys who are interested in girls for more than sex would ask ahead.

Touche Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 WTF? That's all I get outta you? Well what more is there to say? You know the score. He's not worthy of you. I know I normally will go off on a tangent but H and I are having a discussion right now. So I'm distracted. So I thought I'd keep it pithy this time.
bones1 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 LOL.. I don't think he is odd for trying to have sex with you. You went to his home. If you weren't attracted to him because he is obese, why did you go? He actually handled that fairly well. Women sure are mad if you reject them sexually, thats for sure. But why would I go to a woman's home whom I am not attracted to?

But why would I go to a woman's home whom I am not attracted to? Interesting. I didn't get the vibe he was trying to have SEX with me. He just wanted to make out. I made it VERY CLEAR to him from the get go that sex was nowhere near the horizon. His original suggestion was for dinner and a comedy show. He only suggested we watch The Bachelorette instead after much hemming and hawing on my part about not wanting to miss it. As for the obesity thing... On our first date, let's just say that his clothing hid it well and I spent most of the evening across a table from him seeing only the chest up as opposed to his entire figure. I thought he was just a big guy, like a muscular linebacker, and since I didn't cop a feel I didn't know that was under his shirt was fat and not muscle. At his house, he was wearing a tighter t-shirt and was much more loungy than we were at dinner, so he was... I guess... sloppy.
Touche Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Another Bachelorette fan! YAY! So what did you think of Jessie? Ooops, sorry. Off-topic. Bones, you're assuming so much. I can remember going to my H's house so many times and him coming over to my apt. when we were dating and he didn't take that as an invitation to make out...let alone to have sex. We watched movies, had pizza, talked, listened to music, etc. etc. It's called being a classy gentleman. Get it now?
bones1 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I understand... I am not blaming you, but if you really want to LOGICALLY understand what happened then you can realize you put yourself in that situation. Or, you can listen to all the women who have nothing else to say but "yuck pig". Men usually meet women to have sex. Most women usually say "it won't happen soon" blah blah blah. Men don't pay much attention to that. In this day and age, when a woman comes to your home, sex can be expected. You want "old fashioned gentlemen".. But realize old fashioned women didn't go to mens homes and watch tv for a second date. Touche, since when do classy gentleman not take a lady out? Classy gentlemen call at the last minute and ask you to bring food over for a second date and watch tv? Sounds like every womans dream..
Author Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 I understand... I am not blaming you, but if you really want to LOGICALLY understand what happened then you can realize you put yourself in that situation. Huh? I don't think there's anything to understand here on MY part. What do I care to understand? I'm not interested in him. Period. I made that decision. If there's anyone who's lacking some understanding here, it's likely him. Although, I guess after blowing him off that night at his house I'm curious why he stalked me at the club. That said, even if he did ASSUME that just because I was at his house he was going to get laid, he learned very clearly after shoving his tongue down my throat that it was NOT gonna happen, so to proceed to rub and then grab my boob, both which visibly offended me, was just STUPID on HIS part.
