Spiritofnow Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I'll tell you something......5months is a long hard slog, and sometimes the distance makes me feel like I am over all the frustrations and confusion, but I always come back to a place where imagining not having him in my life is just horrid. I really love this guy; he is compassionate, patient, kind, generous, thoughtful (most of the time : ), respectful, sexy, super intelligent, sooooo funny, and he is my best friend. We have our first two WHOLE weeks together without my son, and it's gonna feel weird, but I am looking forward to giving him my undivided attention and time for us to totally goof off and have fun. A week on Saturday and I will be on my way.....

They're not dating Spaniards! give me your spot in the program people!!! lol hopefully I'll know in about 3-4 weeks if I get in! then I'll have another count down right after he visits me! :bunny:

Susaluda Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 About 4 weeks until I see him, haven't seen him in over 5 weeks. The longest we'd ever gone before that was one week so it's tough. I miss him so much, especially since when I left we weren't really in a relationship because he was too overwhelmed with graduating college but now things seem fine again and he misses me. I just wish I could see him for a weekend or even a day just to help me get through the rest of these last few weeks of my time abroad (and so I could enjoy it more here). Don't know how those of you who are away from your SOs for longer can handle it. I truly admire you.

I really wanted to go to Ann Arbor, but school starts again, and I can't take any more time off of work. Oh well, I am just happy I will get to see him. I start that job in Ann Arbor on the 16th. When I get my degree in December I will be applying for everything in the Ann Arbor area. Fun fun. Good luck on the plans for Christmas time. Apparently this is on quite a few LDRs agenda because we are planning for him to meet my mom and brother this holiday season as well. But until then... 12 days... what is your degree in? I may be able to pull strings where I am at. It will be fun because our Winter Christmas is her summer Christmas.
