cupcrazy14 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I was wondering how to hook up with this girl at my school. I'm in 12th grade(17) and she's in 10th I believe. I see her in the hallways every once in a while and i've really grown an attraction for her. now i'm a pretty good looking guy but i'm pretty shy when it comes to talking with girls. I don't even know her name and i doubt that she knows me. if i were in some of her classes it would be much easier to hook up but I only see her in the hallways and that makes it hard to talk to her. she's usually always walking with some her friends so that makes it harder to approach her. I was hoping someone could help me with this.

I mean I know you're shy but you said so yourself that you're a senior. Which means it's your last year. Go up to her, and tell her your name. Tell her you like her, and if anything, she might just go out on a date with you.
Green Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 First off when it comes time to prom relize that alot of really hot girls who normaly would not go out with you in the younger grades will jump at a chance to go to prom so don't be shy and when prom comes around ask some girls out. As far as your crush on the girl you see in the hallway, just walk up to her and say something that will strike up a short 5 minute flirtatious conversation. If you dont know how to flirt just realize its a little touchy and a little silly. then just ask her for her number. just do it. dont be a wuss and dont be to seriouse about this, its not the end of the world and its important you have fun with this. Look if you learn to have fun talking to and interacting with girls you'll be unstopable.

It lets her know you're interested and if she's interested back frequent eye contact will create a secret "thing" between you. Obviously don't stare like mad. Casually mention to someone who knows her "she's cute". You want to drop lots of little hints so that she'll start asking herself "does he like me? Is he going to ask me out?" However shy she is, the chances are that if she likes you then at some point she's going to force herself to be brave and make the effort to catch your eye. You should make your move very soon after that...eg the next day or at least that week, Stop her in the corridor, ask if you can speak to her for a moment (to get her away from her friends) then ask her out. Of course if you're shy it might feel like an agony of embarrassment, but that's all part of the fun of it.
Green Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 your biggest battle will be with yourself. Your to shy to make any move what so ever. Just tell you so self it will be fun talking to her even if you do have some irational fear about it. No need to say something like "I like you will you go out with me" be smooth about it. I mean just chatting her up and teasing her will should be enough, then just try to invite her to something fun, like a party your going to or something like that.
forrest Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 If the above doesnt work, try this: Find out what classes she is in (I am sure all 10th graders have to take class a,b and c...so shouldnt be too difficult) and then come up with a question to ask her. Go up to her and ask her the question. That could get things started. Maybe choose a pretty open-ended question too. For instance, if she is taking English, go up and ask her about the play romeo and juliet. Maybe say your confused about chapter 3 act 1 or w/e. i duno.
Author cupcrazy14 Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 First off if I was to ask a girl to prom, how long before prom should i ask her? should i go a month or two before and ask her out or can it be a week or two? when's the time when its two late? cuz i understand they have to get a dress and stuff. secondly if i were to approach her soon just for a date or something, what should i say? something specific not just whatever. give me a realistic scenario that i could relate to.
Green Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 first off make some kind of move on this girl already. Try something anything. Its not the end of the world if you screw up. You shouldn't be building up this girl you've never spoken to. Try talking to lots of girls, dont make her your one and only option, or trick yourself into believing your in love with this girl you never met. Try not to speak to much, talk slow and cool, and try to be toucy and playful... talk about anything, music, what kind of girl she strikes you as (alternative, punk what eva) tease, Something man. DO something, Like I said, the younger grade girls are all dieing to get asked out to prom by a senior, so even if you think your a total loser you should be able to get a pretty decent sophmore or Junior to go with you... Now make a move on that hallway girl and other girls starting tommorow. And it goes farther then just makeing a move on these girls who you just watch from a distance... persue your other dreams too. girls like a guy who is busy doing things he's into. So next time you post on here, which I hope is soon, please have an update with something you've actualy tried doing... stop waiting, and comming up with great excuses to do nothing. The time will never feel right so just do it
