Thanks Touche. Text can be so difficult to interpret sometimes. I guess I needed all the body language, facial expressions and vocalizations associated, to truly get the gist of what she was communicating to me...

Now..back on topic, I find it hard to believe that any man would want anyone who demands respect through touting her salary. In reality, it's not respect she really wants. What she wants is control over her man. People who need to control are usually very insecure.

If you only have money to offer to the relationship table, that's a sad state of affairs.

Don't forget, CG has a lot of porn too.

Seriously though I have to wonder if the cheating men that CG has encountered aren't a result of them thinking that maybe she would be okay with cheating because of what she does for a living?

I know that there are alot of people who cheat and I have been cheated on before too and hope I never have to experience that again but I have to admit that I was kind of surprised that CG worries about men cheating on her. No offense to CG but I think that was because of the image I have of someone who would sell porn for a living.

OMG, HELLO, I have NEVER been cheated on before!!! I already stated this above in one of my previous posts. The cheating factor comes from what I have observed from ACQUAINTANCES and people I know in real life. I have never been cheated on (as far as I know of). Everyone that I know has been cheated on and these people have regular jobs and nothing to do with porn. I only care about the things I can buy with it. If I could make as much selling sand online I would do the same.

Also, just because I sell porn doesn't mean I am even into porn or could give a hoot about it. It ain't nothing but a damn commodity to me. I only care about money, not porn... lol I care more about celeb gossip and Paris Hilton than porn.

Also, what makes you think I am LOOKING for someone to date or looking for men? I absolutely have no interest and am not looking for ANY MEN. I only wanted to know what they thought of successful women.

Just because I want to know what men think of women who earn a certain amount of income does not mean that I even WANT to date these men. I do not want to date! I am not looking for any man! I am not interested in anyone!

I only wanted to know what they THOUGHT of successful women because I am just curious about what people think...

Don't assume that I have a wild lifestyle because I sell porn. I have only been with two men in 29 years and I am certainly not looking for any more. I am not that into dating and meeting men. Okay?

When I say that "most men cheat", it's merely from what I have observed from my acquaintances and from I see happening to other people. Just about EVERY girl I know has been cheated on at some point, and most have gotten played A LOT.

Hmmm.

You are a smart girl, no?

You state that about EVERY girl you know has been cheated on at some point, no?

But YOU have not been cheated on? With the attitude towards materialism that you have?

Methinks you should do the math...

No I have not been cheated on as far as I'm aware of. I have only had two boyfriends my entire life, I don't like to date. The people I'm referring two have had way more relationships than I have had and therefore had more opportunities to get cheated on.

I didn't know you weren't into porn because I think that most people at one time have had an interest in their chosen line of business. How are you able to know the quality of your product as compared to the competition if you have no knowledge of what your marketing?

Your question on this thread you started called "What do you men think about women who earn 6 figures?" is why I would think that your LOOKING for someone to date or looking for men.

So why did you start this thread? Are you writing a book or research paper?

I can sell just about anything. I know more than enough to make money. My main passions are celeb gossip, clothes, shoes. I'm just one of those people who are good at selling porn on-line... Why? I don't know. There's webmasters out there that love and enjoy to watch porn a lot and they still don't make as much as me. Perhaps I'm just quicker, faster, have better technique, multi-task better, know the correct "procedures" of going about doing things, I'm just more efficient in general.

Guys who watch porn sometimes also aren't good at selling porn cause they might be too busy jerking off to get anything done. Plus they will sell only what THEY like, they might be too afraid to market tranny or gay sites. I always had good marketing skills, I'm very persuasive. I know how to write good AD COPY and I know how to format it.

I like to know what people think about t me because I've always been concerned with image and appearances. It's about the image and people's perception of me. I just wanted to know if men would be intimidated by me because I'm competitive and I like them to be intimidated and know that I could possibly earn more than them. It's all for ego. I definitely don't want to date any of em'. I just wanna outearn them.

Don't get me wrong. I've watched plenty of porn tapes before and porn on-line. I'm just not THAT into it. Just because I sell it don't assume I live a wild hedonistic lifestyle. I am very conservative and uptight in my personal life.

I understand the words your typing but if you truly were concerned about what people thought about your image and appearances than I would think that it would be important to you what kinds of products your selling to collect your goal of having lots of money.

But your saying that its more important to you to have lots of money than the appearances and images of you selling porn to get the money. Am I right?

I see nothing wrong with porn. I do not live in a conservative area, so I don't think most people here care much either. Joe Francis sells porn and his image is quite well, most men out there still respect him.

Porn is mainstream now. Porn is being sold in world class hotels world wide in the form of PPV movies. Jenna Jameson is a pornstar and she's huge and also just purchased a Rolls Royce. There is nothing shady about porn. In LA I think people are open and accept it.

The most famous socialites like Paris and Kim Kardashian have made tapes and contrary to what you might believe, they still have their fans. It actually made them even more famous. Porn is a plus!

Porn is popular and good for the image... Look at Joe Francis, he dated Lohan and Paris and they are considered "it-girls" and on the A-list crowd in Hollywood.

Exactly. If it's good enough for Paris, then it's good enough for me. :lmao:

Personally, I don't feel that selling porn for a living, whether you're making six figures or not, constitutes a successful career. I couldn't live with myself if this is how I earned a living.

I am a teacher of eight years, and I do quite well for myself, earning $53,000 a year, and I am actually doing something that I enjoy that is positively contributing to society. The amount of money I make has never been an issue. Watching my students graduate and go on to college or careers, and leave my class a better person is much more rewarding than selling porn. I couldn't wake up in the morning and look forward to my day if I were you. Ick.

I feel the reason you have to toot your horn about how much money you make is because deep down, you are ashamed of how you earn your money and need self-validation to justify how you earn this money. It really is sad. I would be totally embarrassed if when people ask 'What do you do?' the answer was 'I sell porn.'

Isn't he in jail for the long-term, not just a Paris-size stint?

Wow here we go again. More people assuming that I am "ashamed" of porn. I feel that this comes from puritanical people believing porn is somehow evil or dirty. That is your opinion. I am not of this belief. I have NO QUALMS about selling porn, I think I look damn attractive when I look in the mirror and at night I sleep like a baby. I have no qualms about it.

I have ALWAYS been to image and flaunting even before selling porn. It has nothing to do with it!!!!!

Yea, but that's for tax evasion and lying blatantly in his returns... I'm sure when he gets out he'll still be hanging out with the Hollywood crowd.

I don't have a 'puritanical belief' about porn, it just would totally be humiliating if when people asked "what do you do for a living?" you had to answer "I sell porn."

When someone asks me what I do I tell them I do "internet advertising". It is the truth. When I file taxes the official category according to my cpa is "internet advertising and related services". If someone asks me what I do I tell them I promote affiliate programs on-line and if they ask for details I have no problem telling them it's adult sites.

I am not in porn, have never been on a porn set, never met a pornstar in my life, don't produce porn. I am strictly in advertising. Technically I might not even be "in porn", being "in the industry" means being in the production side.

Nothing humiliating about it to me. Jo Francis and Hugh Hefner don't seem to be embarrassed (Playboy channel shows hardcore porn).

Francis faces more legal problems in Florida, where he has been accused of sexual performance with a minor and bringing contraband into a Jackson County jail. Didn't you know that? It's all over those celeb gossip rags you're obsessed with.

No criminal is a role model. Great "image" on that guy.

Yea I know that. It's "alleged". Not proven yet. My point was that porn is not something that is unacceptable, because Francis hangs with hollywood it-girls like Lohan and Paris. Obviously the Hollywood crowd accepts him. That was my point only. I used him as an example because people were stating that porn was not good for the image. If he hangs with the LA "in-crowd" that's good enough of an acceptance from me.

I could care less about his legal problems. Doesn't affect me either way.

Hm, I used to edit porn magazines and sometimes write for them, and I wasn't paid handsomely to do it at all (quite the opposite). But I didn't feel ashamed of it then and I don't feel ashamed of it now. (It was actually quite fun at times!) I don't think cutegirl does either. She definitely has issues, but I think you are missing the mark, Raspberry.

Your profession is certainly a noble one and I applaud you for choosing it, but I don't think others should feel embarrassed or ashamed for choosing something less traditional. What you've said is a little insulting. Ok, a lot insulting.

I agree with CG that porn is almost mainstream now. It's big business, mostly because of this thing we're on, the Internet. The vibe I get from her is that the ends justify the means, and I agree with that too (within reason, of course). It's not like she's out killing anyone or selling arms to foreign countries to make her money, for god's sake.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that porn is good for the image, but I worked on it more directly than she did, and I don't regret having chosen the "field" that I did. No one overtly judged me poorly for it; if anything, people were intrigued and had many questions. Incidentally, I had the opportunity to get back into it again but decided against it, mostly because it wasn't right for me at this stage of my life, but not because I was ashamed or worried people might think I was a bad person.

I think it's great cutegirl makes as much as she does, even better that she doesn't have to hustle to do so. What I take issue with is her superiority complex, ostentatiousness, and her demand that people recognize her achievements via her status symbols.

The porn on Playboy is hardly "hardcore." (I get the channel, somehow.)

Secondly, Hef is the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, that's it. His daughter is the CEO if I'm not mistaken, and it's a publicly held corporation - Hef doesn't even own a share now. He founded a completely different outfit than what is known as the Playboy empire of today.

Again, insulting.

I haven't been in a porn or on a porn set, but I've met porn stars, gone to porn events, and had to work on porn publications extensively. So I was closer to being "in porn" than CG. The way you worded it as "you had to answer" makes me believe you think your feelings and values should apply to everyone. I wouldn't be as annoyed if you'd just say, "Not speaking for everyone, but I personally would feel this way," or something along those lines. I'm sorry, I can't help but take this personally. You claim to not have a puritanical belief, but your words say otherwise.

Playboy channel (at least the one I have) shows full penetration and is uncensored. They are always playing Vivid Video movies uncensored. It IS hardcore.

It's all semantics. Point is that I'm not embarrassed and definitely am not ashamed as some people are ASSUMING.

about playboy, you're right. hef is totally senile now and just a figurehead.
