maynicholas Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I am in a new relationship. We are exclusive and I have no doubts about his ability to remain faithful. We have sex. Lots of sex. Usually 2-3 times a day. We have been together about 2 months. Well it is starting to take him longer and longer to orgasm. Sometimes we can go for 2.5 hours before he does. I am concerned he could be losing his attraction to me. I brought this up and he said no. That is has to do with being with the same woman, lack of variety, and desensitization from having so much sex. I asked him if he had this problem in the past and he said only in long term relationships. He is quite the man-whore when not exclusive, so he didn't have to worry about it. So is he losing his attraction or are we just getting it on too much?
2sunny Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 probably both. why don't you just see him 2 or 3 times a week?
Lizzie60 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 It's hard to say... I think you're just having too much for now.. just try once a day and see how it works..
Author maynicholas Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 He basically lives with me so I see him every day. He always calls to check in with me during the day when he is working, or we are texting back and forth all day. He will make me dinner, buy my groceries, make my bed for me, take out the trash and is so kind all the time. We have a blast together (outside of the sheets) just watching TV or playing video games or talking about life and what we are looking for in a serious relationship. I am just nervous at this stage that that is happening already. I should also clarify that if we are under a time constraint there is no problem. But if we have all night (or all day)- well, it will probably take that long...

Then you need to relax.. you are way too nervous about this.. just enjoy your time together.. if you 'freak out' he might sense it.. and it could be a turn-off.. just go with the flow..
Author maynicholas Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 Maybe. I'm just scared because it all seems to be going so well.
Ruby Slippers Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Yeah, just pull back a little. Try once a day for a while. I think it can be fun sometimes to agree to take a day off (no sex or masturbating). Then you get all worked up and the next day is wild.
Author maynicholas Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 Well my 'auntie' came to town this morning so I suggested that we go the rest of the week without 'stimulation'. I posed it as a week of foreplay. He agreed to try, but wasn't sure if he could go that long I promised to help him out if it got too bad...
Author maynicholas Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 I would love to hear from some men on this too please...

It sounds like you just need to let the poor guy get some sleep and he'll be fine.

I gotta know - does the 2.5 hours include foreplay and such or is it actually 2.5 hours of intercourse?

The amount of time we spend when possible seems quite the opposite compared to to many people that complain that the sex starts to lag after the honeymoon phase for whatever reasons and just keeps a steady decline. Anyways it's brought us closer instead of what you mention of being driven apart, so i personally cannot rationalize there. We both love it and keep very active in the bedroom, or where ever it may be 2.5 hours, seems like there is an issue of some sort. Could be stress, or something more serious hard to say. Because if we go for marathon sessions usually she's had multiple orgasms in that time and i've spent few loads in that time. You've brought it up with him, leave it at that and see where it goes, keep the sex intense try new stuff.
