Why do girls try to make guys jealous

I have this coworker named Valerie that caressed my hand one time when I was talking to a lady on the phone. I took it as nothing and blew it off. She would always blink at me and touch me, but I took it as nothing that its just her personality. I asked her out to lunch one day and she said sure lets go. She would always call me when I would get in to fix her computer or phone. We would get really really close face to face, but never kiss or move back. She would see me walking towards her direction bend over and show me her butt. I even tell her that she looks very nice in BLUE.

 

A couple of weeks later I bring it to her attention how she is and she completely says that its just her and she is that way with everybody. So I’m like ok whatever. So I stop talking to her.

 

A male coworker is talking to me one day when he says why is it that when you are around Valarie she throws out her chest and her nipples are sticking out. I tell him I never noticed and just blow the conversation off.

 

Fast forward three months and everyday I see Valarie in the halls she stares at me, but I wont look at her or say anything. I’m downstairs helping a coworker with her computer and she says oh do I have to fill out the ups form EVERYBODY know you have to fill out the form. So she sits in back of me filling out the form. I move to the next computer which is about 15 feet away and she go right over there to talk to the lady that I am helping and I can see in the corner of my eye her staring at me wearing a BLUE shirt. I completely ignore her and she walks 5 feet turns around and tells the lady she forgot she needs some ups forms gets them and leave. 15 minutes later she comes back and says she don’t need that many U.P.S forms.

 

Now it seems she is trying to get me jealous and find out information about me. I had to fix her computer and she starts talking to this female coworker how she is going to go to lunch with some guy. My boss and her are going to the Marriott for a business conference and he tells me like 4 times and he never tells me things more than once.

 

So I email her and tell her to give me a call when she gets a chance. She calls me leaves a voice mail message, and tells me that I can call her on her cell phone, then she calls my boss asking him why I called he tells her probably about the excel spreadsheet. So when I get in he ask me you called valarie for the excel spreadsheet right and I was like yeah. He goes I told her that was why you called and left fustrated.

 

Am I reading this wrong is she trying to get me jealous.

She was into you and you might have blown your chance with her. Sounds like she was too desparate for a guy. Some girls can't stand to be alone and need a guy around to feel normal.

sounds to me as though she's playing games. Either play along OR tell her to grow up. ALTHOUGH, sometimes that's what it takes to get a reaction from men.

we'll yesterday before I left work I stopped by to take care of the issue with the spreadsheet and she tells me is that why you called. She knows why I called my boss told her and now I have to explain to her why. this girl is really confusing me.
