Any On How To Meet And Date Girls In My College Ministries Group?

Recommended Posts

My college has a student ministries group that acts like a regular church service, but is mostly for college kids in their late teens and early twenties. I'm not really too religious but since there are many people here, I see it as an opportunity to meet people and meet girls. Before the service starts and after it ends, a lot of people hangout outside and talk to one another. There's also volleyball on Sunday which I might go to.

Any advice on how to talk to the girls there and maybe get to know one of them and then ask them out? How long should I wait to get their number? Should I try to get their number on the day that I meet them, or until the next time that I see them? I have next to no experience with dating whatsoever, i'm very new to this.

I've always found it easier getting to know them better before I made a move of any kind to see if I thought we were at least compatible or not. It's better that way, and will ease any tension you may have when you ask for her number. Take it slow, but not too slow. If you get it, great. If not, shrug it off the best you can, and move on. Keep trying.

Outlaw is right - build a rapport before asking for a number. Thing is, if you ask for a number and find out they have a boyfriend or just aren't interested, then you're stuck.

Thing is, this isn't like talking to a random woman in a bar or on the street. Because it's a group, if you start talking to other girls and asking for their numbers after the first No, you'll get a sleazy reputation and all the girls will avoid you. You get one shot at this. Possibly two if you space them right out.

If you do succeed, how do you plan to explain why you as a not very religious guy were attending youth ministries?

Yes just try to hold a conversation with them, I would leave the number asking until you have met them maybe at least three times.

you have to trust your gut instinct on that, are you enjoying chatting to this lady, is she giving you a positive vibe, with practice you will become better at judging this,

just try some simple lines to get a conversation started,

Hey there, how is your day going? that service was really good,

Will you come back next week,

Any holidays planned over summer,

hmmn volleyball- beach volleyball-some nice ladies there!!

Although you want to use this group as a way to meet women to date, you can't let on that that is your purpose.

You will have to wait a while before asking for numbers. You don't want to get a reputation as the guy who is working his way through all the girls in the group.

In the short term, attend the events. Play volleyball & be friendly. In a few weeks if you can zero in on one girl who catches your fancy & seems to return your interest, ask her for a number.

Patience is key here.
