A little question

Recommended Posts

This is possibly a dumb question but I haven't had a cell phone in years and have never had anything more than a cheap flip phone, ever so I'm not acquainted with the apps and such.

Is it possible to pocket dial someone a series of emoticons unintentionally? I'm on hyper alert these days I suppose but someone did this to me on fb messenger and I was offended until they said they'd pocket dialled. I thought pocket dialling meant you would only dial an actual phone number by mistake but didn't know you could send emoticons unintentionally that way.

I know, silly question... but as I said, I'm cell phone illiterate. Bear with me...

Yes, this can happen very easily. It's a common enough problem that there are now apps specifically designed to automatically lock your phone when you put it in your pocket.

My phone can do anything in the pocket , sometimes it even goes on the net and God knows what page will be up when l check it later.

Can absolutely happen. I'd take ANYTHING unusual that I receive on FB messenger with a grain of salt - besides pocket dialing, accounts get hacked, people sometimes leave their laptops open or their phones unlocked and a kid gets hold of them, etc.

Wait.... you mean I can use "Butt Typing" as a valid excuse with my wife for a forgotten open porn page on my phone? LOL

Yes emoticons can happen, just the same as we can receive a text of sognoiuenslgnjebtensgtahl;jkls

Has this emoticon thing actually happened to you? If they were completely random emoticons, I'd believe it was accidental. But if they were all love or hate emoticons, I'd be more concerned.
