Life as an introvert ... Would be nice to form a strong RL bond with a female

Recommended Posts

Often I interact with a lot of girls in my college classes.

I always seem to form friendships better with guys despite the fact I act similarly around both guys and girls.

I am an introvert/somewhat shy, but I have seen many posts on LS about girls who are attracted to shy guys so it should not be a problem.

Most girls in my class seem shy, too.

I have had long distance gfs that I formed through the internet, but in real-life I have never gotten close to acquiring a gf despite being 25. On the internet I am more confident, honest, talk-ative and communicate my thoughts so much more clearly.

:) Anyway it can't be fair if I don't list the positives too:

There were 2 girls that I felt gave me strong eye contact. 1 soon quit the course (typical  ) and 1 I think may have a bf, but I really am attracted to her. I did ask her if she wanted to join me to grab a snack once class ended, her response was she was tired and wanted to go home.

I had girls tell me I'm really funny (though to be fair I do make others laugh quite a lot)

A few girls I've been known longer than the rest (for over a year) and they seem slightly more comfortable with me than, say, a few months ago.

Opinions greatly appreciated

This could be part of the problem. If you want to attract a girl, don't treat her the same as your mates. She's got to feel a bit special, desirable.

My only suggestion coming from a fellow introvert is to try to go for a girl that is more extroverted. She doesn't need to be a social butterfly or life of the party girl, but dating a fellow introvert can be extremely hard. All of the women I've had success with were definitely more extroverted than me.

Most people I've met are more extroverted than me (though perhaps I'm a bit less shy, I try to approach people first for example). I'm a man of few words in RL.

To be honest I'm not sure how to do this, especially as many girls hang out with each other (rarely get 'em alone) and I'm attracted to more than one girl.

You have to get over wanting to get them alone before you'll talk to one. You don't sound too hopeless to me, but you've got to at least reach a social level where you can go talk to a small group of people, such as this girl and her friends. Because no girl is going to let you separate her from her friends ongoing so it's kind of a red flag if you try to from the beginning. The way to go about it is talk to the group and see what you get back in return and then take it from there.
