I've been to a couple meet-ups (events for people to just hang out and meet new friends) but didn't seem to find any long-lasting friends out there. Where do you guys find dates? I continued to attend, just to get out and be more social. Through friend's encouragement, I signed up on a couple Internet dating websites. It was a much better experience than I expected. I went on a few dates and met someone that I'm in a committed relationship with, he's an amazing man and our relationship is fantastic. Be safe, listen to your gut about any red flags, don't settle for anyone less than what you're hoping for. Decide what's most important to you, and look for it. Internet dating is good because you're all there for the same thing and it makes things easier on you because you can find out things about people before you talk to them (as an example I wouldn't date anyone who smoked.) No matter what the person looks like, you should be able to look past that, and concentrate on what is of more importance. Sexy doesn't pay bills, and it sure as h3ll does help when there is an issue to resolve that needs some rational thinking I realize that you might be a young person living at home, and all that matters to you is just "getting some"? I also signed up for OKC only but I don't hold much hope as I want a women who don't smoke or drink. It's hard as there is lot of fake profiles on there.
