scotch Posted October 29, 2002 Share Posted October 29, 2002 So I saw this guy that I have had a crush on for a while. He asked for my number 3 months ago and never called. He has since (according to my girlfriend who introduced us) asked about me several times, saying, where is she is she coming to this party , is she coming tonight, but then implied or said (not sure) that I am not his type. EVEN though he doesnt know me...i will give him that benefit of doubt as I jump to those conclusions too. So, after he asked for my number and didnt call he THROUGH a dating service (online) sent me an email (he did not know it was me) saying we should meet up for coffee...i said, i am pretty sure im not your type in the email and sent it back anonymously- i was a bit bitter as you can tell!! he doesnt KNOW it was me but I am sure he has AN IDEA... so when I saw him this weekend- i called him on it- i said do you remember asking for mynumber ? Because he had just asked me to dance - at a party- he said YES , MY MISTAKE he asked me to dance and we did dance....for some reason my hair fell in my face and he kind of swept it away....(that always gets me dammit) then at the end of the night - he is all- well i will see you at the next party. when is that? and i said i dont know...... that is the jist of it.........oh and he told me to ask my friend what he said about me and i did and she told me what i wrote above.......what the hell dude? any thoughts appreciated..... He doesn't sound like somebody you ought to waste a lot of time on. The next party could be a year from now. It seems that's the only time he wants to run into you. Most guys don't read between the lines, and if he hadn't thought enough about you to call, chances are, he's not thinking you are who he was talking to through a dating service.
