disappointed... confused... i dunna

Recommended Posts

hmm this is more of a rant than a question, but any comments would be much appreciated!

it suddenly dawned on me around a week ago that I dont like any of the guys i've been involved with these past 3-4 months (all the r/s's were casual, or rather just short, for various reasons...)

one guy is fun and smart, but young and selfish and spoiled;

the next one is pretty smart, caring, really likes me, but utterly unattractive for me, physically;

the next one is very attractive to me physically, fun, but not very bright & a player-for-life.

so i'm thinking - sheesh - what am I doing around these guys?? So i looked around and ... i didnt realize until now how HARD it is to find a man that i'd like! I also finally realized that it's so easy to find A man who'll take you out & sleep with you & be nice to you; but it's sooo hard to find someone u'd wanna be with for life...

i am sort of disappointed. those 3 guys used to actually matter to me... dang!

on the other hand, nobody's perfect and perhaps im being a harsh judge. but ive never met a guy who i'd like both physically and mentally... not speaking of other factors... yeek!!

so i guess the answer is obvious- keep looking!

what happened to me previously was that any kind of r/s with the person clouded over my judgement of them... because i wanted it to work out, i suppose. how silly! now i see it's going to be a loooong search if i want to find someone for long-term...

which leads to the next Qn - why settle for one man? why do people try n find someone w/ all the qualities they seek instead of eternally changing partners? that way, you get difft qualities from difft ppl & get satisfied in all aspects, on average...

im not making any sense so ill stop now ...

-yes

it's hard to conceive that we'll stay with one person forever

it's almost impossible to find all you want wrapped up in one package

i try to not look at the physical, and have, with time developed attractions that very very physical effects, but based in something that combines the man's mind, heart and soul.

i haven't been successful in maintaining anything, so i'm no authority

i can see how people play the merry-go-round with partners, because everyone has a tendency of thinking that there's something better out there, so they don't invest in what they have today, which might be very good.

i'm rambling, but the point is...is that i see your point

You will never, ever find one person with all you want wrapped up in one package. But you will find someone to love...forever, if that's what you want.

You will not find a lifetime partner until you are ready. Before that, all the men you date will fall far short of the mark. That's OK.

Enjoy the ride...because when it hits you, the ride will be over and you will leave the amusement park and go home to enjoy greater, more stable happiness.

Just pay attention and enjoy yourself until the right time brings the right person for you.
