stop being so freaking nice to me??

there's this guy - i think he likes me - but whether or not, i'm fed up with his compliments, e-cards, calls, etc. I've been telling him "i'm busy" for the past week or so, but he just keeps sending some kind e-cards saying how he hoped im not too stressed, etc. - what, does he actually buy it that i'm busy 24-7 and dont go out for weeks?? what the hell...

what do i do with him? he is a nice guy, and i dont mean to hurt him, but i'm sick of him! we hang out with the same gang at college - and i dont mind him in a crowd of people, but i really dont feel like being any closer than that...

all the weirdos always like me ...... what a life!

I always think there is not enough great things a guy can do for a chick in order to get her to like him. He should call her five or six times a day, take her to lunch and/or dinner five times a week, take her to movies twice a week, make sure she feels OK every morning, give her lots of presents like flowers, candy, cards, etc. at least three time a week.

If he is unable to take her out, he should give her a $100 bill and pay another guy to go in his place so the girl doesn't feel bad about being neglected.

It's a guy's job to be there all the time for the girl he's after. If she doesn't like it, she should just put up with it because it's a lot better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Nice guys always get the girls because girls just love getting stuff, having the guy tell her how much he loves her all time time, being hugged, kissed and held onto constantly and having the guy right there to do whatever she wants at the snap of a finger.

When you get 50 years old, you'll have to pay a guy $2,000 a week to do stuff like that. Enjoy it while it's free.

Tony,

You are joking aren't you? All of your advice is so down to earth, well thought out and heart-felt, you are kidding with this one aren't you?

ps

I am almost 50, and I still get the attentions you mentioned above -- without paying for it.

Just tell him you would like to be his "friend". That's usually the kiss of death to a man's ears. He'll get the hint. Sounds like a nice guy, he'll be a tad hurt but you can't help that. He'll be even more hurt if you accept his attentions for a few months and then tell him. He'll then feel like a fool. Don't hurt him any more than you have to.

Good luck.

I agree that its uncofortable to tell someone your not interested, but sometimes it's best just to say something becuase I dont think they get the clues.
