sunshinegirl Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I'm 5'10" and tower over most of my girlfriends. Growing up I always felt like this huge lumbering giant. So when I date a guy, I really do like it if he is physically bigger than me. (My BF is 6'0".) That said, I've dated a couple of guys who are slightly shorter than me, but it never seemed to work out. A college classmate of mine - this guy who was I think 5'5" or 5'6" married a woman who was something like 6'1". Good for them, but I just don't think I could ever do that. And what's with the shorter women all wanting supertall guys? Can't you leave those guys for women like me??

He could be my height but outweigh me by a fair amt and that would be fine. ...for women LIKE me (i.e. tall), not me specifically. (I feel a certain solidarity with the tall women out there.) I could see myself dating someone a little shorter if they were otherwise attractive to me. I'm 5'8", close to 5'9", and my boyfriend is 5'10". I don't wear heels around him since it makes hand-holding and such awkward for me. My ex was 6'5". It was nice when I wanted to get something on a high shelf, or if we were in a crowd and I couldn't see, but I'm really digging having someone who's my size.

I think this is at an instinctual level, men are generally seen a provider and protector, therefore height exemplifies dominance. This may not be the case with every woman, but I think it's the case with most women. Cheers!

Like over a foot difference? I have always found that 2-5 inch height difference ( the man being taller ) to be perfect for the 69 position.. If she is too short you hurt your neck and if she is too tall you can't get to the right parts..

There's always some woman asking superficial a&& questions on here. You can only tell how insecure they are with questions like "do you like them tall or short?", "do you look at a girls face or body first?", "do you like a cute girl or a hot girl"?. Good grief, get a life. You can only tell these questions are fueled by comments made by guys that made these girls so insecure about themselves.

My friend who's 5'4 thinks any guy who's her height is tall, her current boyfriend is around 5'4 and she likes it cause seh thinks it tall, so i suppose everyiones different.
