Guest Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I used to have this saying if he aint 6'3" he aint for me!
pois24 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 From my own personal experience, I'm 5'2 and almost 25. I have never met a girl yet. Last time I approached a girl after we finished dancing her and her friends laughed at me and walked off (2 of the 3 were taller.) I'm a fit guy I train 2-3 times a week, I have a good job. I've been told I'm a nice guy by those who know me. Of the strangers that I have approached I have always been met with rejection yet by the end of the night these girls are with guys who are taller (usually by quite a bit.) Those girls who I have known for a while and felt some chemistry with have all also said know claiming that I am a really nice guy but I'm just not their type, or I'm more like a brother or I only see you as a friend. Occasionally I will see guys my height and a few inches taller going up to girls and seeing girls look down on these guys. I see in this forum that most women do not mention guys shorter than 5'6". When I go out to a club or a concert often I feel like I'm in a shampoo ad because all I normally see if head and shoulders. Yes, I can make jokes about my height I've accepted my height. I don't think I have a preference on height, so I guess I would rank it 2. I mean if I'm going to have to buy all new shoes with a bit of a heel to reach her I guess it would come down to what sort of shoes would I look still look manly in while still being fashionable.
ratingsguy Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I'm 5'11" and won't date anyone noticably taller than me. It's psychological... I have no good reason for my preference. BUT I will date women 15 years my senior... but that's another topic entirely.
Rooster_DAR Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I'm glad I'm over 6 feet tall. It does make a difference to a lot of women unfortunately. D'oh!
Yamaha Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Height is not a big thing to me. As long as we "fit" romantically it's all good.
Island Girl Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 The guy has to be over 6ft. I am 5'9" and I like to feel dainty and feminine. I never want to feel like if something were to happen that I'd have to leap to protect the guy I'm with. I'm big into physical size and like a man that feels powerful so height is important - so is physique. In my younger days I was extremely shallow and so were the people I was around. Everything was based on the physical. Thankfully, although I am deeper in maturity, my husband fits all of the criteria from my shallow days as well. I know of a few of my friends that like dating shorter men. Different strokes I guess.
CaliGuy Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Guys, how much does height matter to you on the opposite sex on a scale of 1-10, 1 being lowest and 10 being highest. And, what is your general height preference? Girls, how about you? (Gays and bi's, answer accordingly to your sexuality of course.) I've dated women as short as 5'0 and as tall as 6'2". To me height means nothing. It's about who she is, not what she is, that matters to me.
jusified Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I am 5'6, I dont have a height preference. if a girl dont want to be with me cos of my hight then she's too shallow for me. Then again, i really dont have a problem with pplwho have height preferences, cos its what they prefer and they are not hurting anyone (but themselves cos a perfectly great guy for them might be under 5'8) I am interested to know, can you girls answer two questions for me. 1) Does Height matter to you? 2) Does Penis Size matter to you?

Jusified, I would love to eat dark chocolate every single day. It would be my preference. Do I? Nope. 1) When it comes down to it, height doesn't affect the way I feel for someone, if it's a meaningful relationship. 2) Sorry but a 3" pencil will not do...
jusified Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 well just trying to see if there is a positve correlation between the two or if they are seperate. LOL I'm sure alot of ppl prefer stuff and then when they meet a really great person that do not 100% fit the prefference it all goes out of the window.
Trialbyfire Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 And have I proved to you that there is no correlation? Really, penis size matters waayyyy more than height.
Sand&Water Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 RE: What is your height preference? Seriously. Is this a joke. I could lie to you, and tell you it doesn't matter at all -rather, I don't give a rat's derrière about height. But I will not kid myself. I do have a height preference. He has to be at my height or taller. Yes, at the same height I can live with. Shorter -he's got to have some other trait that I could fall in-love-with, to compensate (I don't like this word, but I'm using it). Sand&Water

I was kidding jusified. Neither matter if you have a strong emotional connection. What matters more is that you have a deep, meaningful, strong bond with each other where not only do you love the person, you also like them as individuals as well. If that person has the physical traits that you admire most, it's just icing on the cake but superfluous compared to the rest.
burning 4 revenge Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I was kidding jusified. mentirosa, la verdad es tu necessita la salchicha grande

Had to find an online translator.
Trialbyfire Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Babelfish works well... B4R, cut that out, lol. Parlez-vous l'anglais?
Killaine Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I actually don't care about a guy or girl's height...I'm more concerned over my own height. I'm 5'6"-5'7" and most of the girls where I live are much, much shorter than that...I usually feel very giant and I feel that my own tall height is unattractive to men, and women who date me feel I'm going to want to be or expect me to be the dominant or 'butch' one, which is not what I want at all.

The bigger guy does not necessarily always win. Anger and speed count for more than size.
magichands Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Some deer measure up their antlers before deciding whether a fight is necessary. This sort of strategy seems to be the most sensible one for humans, too, provided one allows enough time for them to get it back in their pants before the fun begins.

One of my most wonderful nature encounters was with a young red deer buck last summer who tried to protect his small herd of does from me and my dog by charging us, repeatedly (with his tiny nubs!) and stomping his feet when he got whithin 30 feet. I was impressed! For the record, the does were not scared of us at all, they just grazed and ignored the whole scene. Just like humans.

coco_milkshake Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 My ex is 5'6" and I thought it was ok. He was self conscious about being lower than average but I didnt mind, it saved me having to strain my neck to kiss him lol. I do like a guy to be taller than me and I am 5'2".
