Guest Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Hey all, I could use some advice. I met a man about 4 years ago that I really really liked... I pursued him for awhile trying to get him to go out with me but he said back then he was too shy. So I just left him alone hoping maybe one day he'd come around. Four years later he finally said yes to my request for a date. Although I didn't think we had the best date together since I was sooo nervous I still thought things might happen for us. After all this was a guy I'd always wanted to date. To get to the point. After we went on that date....I really didn't hear form him again. I called but he didn't seem too interested. That hurt my feelings since I thought things went okay and that maybe we'd go out again in the future. It's been several months and I came across a blog on-line recently with a girl that was dating the same guy around the same time I was..... She writes all these nice things that happened on their date and I wondered if she knew about me....I'm guessing not. It sounds like she isn't with him anymore and her story on her blog sounds so similar to what happend to me. What would you do if you came across this? I was thinking of e-mailing her to tell her my story.... I think I'm probably more mad too right now since I had no idea any of that went on....
Spinderella Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 It was just a date! Most people go on casual dates with different people to see if theres anything they would like to develop further. Theres not usually exclusivity until later on. It sounds as though you have not had many relationships and also that whatever it was with this guy was very much one-sided. Maybe next time go on dates with people who seem more willing and you wont feel so unconfident on the dates. No I really dont think you should contact this girl about this guy. I think you should have forgotten him four years ago when he blew you off the first time. Why are you so hung up on him anyway, havent you met anyone else over the last four years?
