Quinch Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 My best mate is moving to London. She's got a top job as PR advisor to some MP in Westminster. I hardly see her as it is because she's always busy running her own business and now she's going to be even further away. We don't have a romantic thing but we are close - like brother and sister - and I'm going to miss her more than ever. She can still come up to this part of the world from time to time and I can still go down there if necessary but I don't have any other friends round here that I'm as close to. I'm happy for her but at the same time it's like a kick in the gut. It sucks to be me

I did for a short time with an old friend who moved away and I later reconnected with. Even though she was thousands of miles away we spoke every day.
Author Quinch Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 That's very true and, to be honest, she might not be moving permanantly. I don't want her not to move because that's being selfish, but I hope she does come back soon.
Russian_donkey Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 In the wonderous age of IM and telephones, maintaining a relationship shouldnt be too hard, but it will suck not to have face to face heart to hearts... if ya get me... But best friends don't fade with time - remember that, and dont give the relationship a CHANCE to fall apart
