Our R is more warped than any A is. We are almost entirely an online R with extremely infrequent in person meetings. I was very honest with him when I started seeing MM. Also when it ended. I never saw him in person during the time that i was seeing MM. In fact, it has probably been 6 or 7 months since we have seen each other. We talk on line several times a week but have some serious issues(other than the distance) that seem to interfere with us progressing any further.
jag13 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 No I would not date someone else while having an A with my MM. I know that he is sleeping with his wife but the emotional investment I have in our relationship keeps me loyal. Maybe it is misguided but I believe in only one man at a time.
elijahBailey Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 If OWs were to start dating single guys, they would've given themselves half a chance to leave their MMs. I doubt many OWs do that cuz they've just invested too much of their emotions with their MMs. Even if the best single guy were to knock on their doors, I bet OWs would still pass him by.

What would be the point of that? If there was someone else I was interested in I'd be with them, not with two people at once. Generally speaking, people have affairs because they're already committed to one person and can't get out of that committment easily, (or don't want to). Not because they want two people in their lives. Also, don't forget that a LOT of OW are also the MW in an affair... i.e. both affair partners are married. Somehow that keeps being overlooked on these boards. How many married women are told 'get a single guy of your own' when they already have a husband lol. IF I wanted to be involved with two people at once, then they would both know about it. I'm not good at lying.

My H's main OW..I don't know about the others, did date single guys during thier 10 year R...My H knew about it, and according to her, didn't like it, but I don't know if the single guys knew about him. I would guess that if she was close at all to one of them, she would most likely mention it. As I've said before, so many more people know then you think...
