Each year I prune my rosebush on Valentines Day. Feb. 14. Some years back someone who knew roses recommended it. Maybe every single guy ought to have a rose bush. These roses beat anything you will buy and will dazzle a woman.

But anyway, in the dead of winter, there are no roses. Fraggled branches still have a hint of life in them but really, there is more to gain but cutting them back to the ground. The hope of new life. Another season.

So, i`m out there. chopping it all down and ponder through the years those I have given roses. A bit of nostalgia. Women miss roses when they are gone. That is the real thing. Store bought roses mostly just don`t have that spark.

So it is with relationships. You are going to miss it when it is gone. But, to everything there is a season. And for roses, Valentines day is just the beginning. Probably, for a lot of people, it would be a good day to do some pruning. Hey, a bit of nostalgia in the process don`t hurt.
