justpassingthrough Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I was just wondering how long into a monogomous relationship do you decide that you no longer need condoms (I guess assuming you're on the pill and the condom was only to defend against STDs). If they are only to defend against STDs, my answer is after the HIV testing has run its course. That *****'s deadly and there's no point in taking a chance.
RecordProducer Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 You know, you're being pretty hostile.I agree and I apologize. But I still don't see your point with the 3-month-no-sex introduction.
milvushina Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 When I said I normally date a guy 2 or 3 months before we have sex, it's just because I don't want to have sex on the second date, and then figure out two weeks later they're a flaky douchebag. I have not had a lot of partners so it is still a big deal to me. I don't count the days till 3 months is over, I just find it takes roughly that long to figure out if someone is going to wear out their welcome. I don't have a "3 month rule" it just seems to happen that way. The whole point was that normally I feel pretty confident a new partner won't put me in danger, becaues I've built up some trust. And if a one-night stand does happen it is VERY important to use a condom. That's all I meant when I addressed the original question. Anyway thanks for cutting me some slack and I won't hog the thread anymore...
