whichwayisup Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I wouldn't even buy a TML bear. Dressing up a stuffed animal? Anyway.... I have a cute little bear that says "Squeeze me" and when you do, it farts. My nieces and nephews love playing with it while they're here...Never seem to get bored of it either! LOL

Thats funny. The only bears that I own are a couple of miniature bears that are baseball souveniers, which were given to me.
whichwayisup Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Whats a TML bear? Replace baseball with hockey...........................Figure it out, slowpoke.
Pyro Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Replace baseball with hockey...........................Figure it out, slowpoke. I see that your team had its largest home crowd of the year last night. Hmmm, I wonder why. They came in masses to see the kid and co.
whichwayisup Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 The place is packed every night. I didn't know that was the largest home crowd, couldn't tell from watching the game. Remember, ACC (just like MLG - that's Maple Leaf Gardens) never has had a problem with attendance, like more than half the teams in the good ol' USA.

Hockey is Canada's religion. My mistake: yesterdays attendance was a regular season record, not just this season for Toronto.
bab Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I would have to give Vermont teddy bears a firm:  . I hate them. Who in their right mind pays $70 for a stuffed animal???
norajane Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I had to google to see what they were...and, no, not even remotely interested. It's a stuffed animal. Why would a grown woman want a stuffed animal? Unless she's already one of those people with stuffed animal collections (in which case you should run far away unless she's 12), I can't imagine she'd prefer a bear to, oh, just about anything else.
Porn_Guy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 well these VTBs are basically a scam.....they advertise them to men only, like on male oriented radio and TV shows and in men's magazines. they say they are "perfect" gifts for their wife or mistress or g/f and only like $60 + shipping and stuff. its a simple and easy/mindless gift for the dude to get her.
Art_Critic Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 A couple of years ago they had come out with the Bondage Bear.. It made the news big time and they had to remove the product line because of complaints.. The bear was perfect in every detail including the red ball in the mouth. Someone on Ls had their Avatar that was the VTB Bondage Bear at one time.
Porn_Guy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Someone on Ls had their Avatar that was the VTB Bondage Bear at one time. oh yea i remember that ha ha ha
a4a Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 shove some plane tickets to Cancun up the bears butt or a tennis bracelet around its scrawny neck and I would love to have the VTB. Otherwise it becomes a dog toy. Men get snuckered in to buy this crap..... and the women have to pretend to appreciate the "thought". What the hell is the desire for this kind of crapola. Flowers too..... overdone and zero creative planning. I am going to start adverting glow in the can openers for men and how much they will love them in the commercials...... I will be rich! Rich I say!
VinaAmez Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I've ordered Vermont Teddy Bears in the past and they were always a big hit... I'm kind of surprised at the responses here. I've never met a woman who didn't like a teddy bear. I have one. It's not a Vermont one but similar and I LOVE it. It's so cute and it sits on my bed. It even has a sweater with the college I went to on it. And it has a beany butt and I even have little outfits for it too.

Three pages into this thread and we finally see a woman who likes something that is at least similar to the VTB. Definitely not a popular gift, at least here on the shack.

a4a Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I didn't even know that the arms and legs move into any positions. Well I would think on the Bondage Bear it would be an important feature! hog tie it, probe it, .......... YOU know the deal Riddler.......

I swear that after I posted last, the bondage bear came to mind. Its not too late to order a Riddler bear.
VinaAmez Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 The ones that I seen in the pictures do. I don't know.
serial muse Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Hey what can I say, I like according to people cheap crap. You could call it a VB but it's arms and legs don't move into positions. well it's hardly cheap! i'm sure some people like getting stuffed bears, but obviously, lots don't. it's annoying though that the company is selling it as though your average woman will shout for joy when they're presented with a bear. meh. (and it's not like i hate bears...i do still have a teddy bear from my childhood lying around. but i'm not looking for a collection of them; just the one is plenty.) so here's a question - would the schmoopier of the men on these boards appreciate a stuffed bear, perhaps wearing their favorite sports team's t-shirt? i mean, maybe the bear thing is just a measure of how much cutesiness you want in your relationship in general. or maybe porn guy's right and it's just an easy, mindless gift...
Blue Phoenix Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I got one a few years ago along with some roses he had speical sent from some were I cant rember were now. Any ways the bear was cute but I def couldent see paying over 60 bucks for one. Over all nice bears over priced and yea I def think they do cater to guys who dont know what else to get!!

I am not sure what schmoopier means, but I actually would appreciate a bear wearing my teams shirt, but that is because I already do collect baseball memorabilia.

I don't shout for joy but I do like gifts like that once in a while. There is no way I would pay $60-$70 for a bear.
Kimi Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I quit collecting teddy bears when i stopped wearing diapers . I'm not the a cutsey poo bear kinda girl. I do like the LS bunny though.
Porn_Guy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 or maybe porn guy's right and it's just an easy, mindless gift... its not "maybe"....I am right
