Woggle Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 To all the former nice guys when was the moment when you figured out that letting a woman walk all over you and treating her like gold would not get you anywhere? What happened in your life that opened your eyes? Most guys eventually get this wakeup call. I will be back with my story
alphamale Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 . I will be back with my story when, exactly, will you grace us with your presence again?
magichands Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 What happened in your life that opened your eyes? Most guys eventually get this wakeup call. Well, I was sleeping soundly, and then - suddenly - I felt my balls tingling. That sort of thing would open anybody's eyes. Eventually it all became too much, and I went back to sleep again.
paris38 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 women have treated men like gold only to be walked all over, too.
Author Woggle Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 when, exactly, will you grace us with your presence again? It was my divorce and since everybody in here has heard that story tons of times I don't feel the need to go into it again That was my wakeup call.
magichands Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 C'mon, Woggle. All's well that ends well. You got your happy ending.
Author Woggle Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 C'mon, Woggle. All's well that ends well. You got your happy ending. For sure but gaining my self respect was what allowed me to find a worthy woman. I am actually thankful for that wakeup call. It is better that it happened then instead of happening after we had a kid or 2 making things very messy. I wish that debacle didn't end with her going to prison but that is her doing. I hope when she gets out she can live a full and happy life.
magichands Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I hope when she gets out she can live a full and happy life. That's sweet. That would really be a happy ending.
Author Woggle Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 That's sweet. That would really be a happy ending. I have no bitterness towards her. I only have pity.
magichands Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I have no bitterness towards her. I only have pity. Maybe you could try changing that into hope.
alextop30 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 last time when I was given a heads up or as you state it wake up call from a really good friend that is a girl. It is a little story, Starts out with getting in college - the first person that I met and started talking was this girl = speaks enlish perfectly not like me she is cute but did not catch my eye at first so we talked for like the whole entire day at the orientation - after that another full day in the first day of school - let me just say that it was wierd she knew everyone around and she was talking only to me == talk about wierd. So She gives me her phone number with the words "If you ever need help I am here" at this point you say she is interested in me and I was really careful not to call her the first day so I waited like 3 days until friday afternoon and asked to go to movie - first responce Yes at 7:00PM, at 6:00 PM cant come friend is in trouble we can do it tomorrow and that tomorrow never happened. But we continued talking a lot at school over instant messenger and over the phone so the term ends and durring the christmas brake I wanted to take her out with our friends to have some fun but she started being too busy cooking--- how much time in the day do you cook any how so I backed off I talked to her a little less often and eventually she became so busy that I heard from her once every two weeks. Second term starts and everything is so different I get into the room and she is too busy to say Hi so I really got mad and I told her that I really liked her and that she is an idiot for not really giving it a chance so I kind of closed myself and still a little mad but I am settling --- I was really nice with her and I got it really really bad so with girls I try to tell them off the begging not to play games coz I really dont like the mixed signals.
Flyin in Clouds Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 ...when was the moment when you figured out that letting a woman walk all over you and treating her like gold would not get you anywhere? What happened in your life that opened your eyes? Most guys eventually get this wakeup call. I will be back with my story When my first girlfriend broke up with me after 4 years of a totally committed relationship on my part and planning my life exclusively around her. Nearly killed me. After that I never put a woman on a pedistal nor trusted them again.
