the_total_package Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I have confidence NOT to call. I very rarely call a guy. Doing this with this guy I have been dating for a month, it's driving him crazy wondering about me and he's calling like crazy. I'll call him maybe once for every 5 times he calls me.

Yeah I get what you are saying. What I meant was when things are going well for me, I don't spend any time stressing about whether to call or not, or whether he will or not etc. It just happens. BF and I have been together long enough for this to not be an issue, but it never was in the beginning either. We couldn't (and still can't) get enough of eachother....!
stillafool Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Since I'm married, I haven't dated in many years. But I remember when a guy liked me I didn't have to call him he called me. I think since you were the one to say bring up going out Sat. night and he agreed but didn't say anything else about it but "I'll call you". Hum, I don't know if he really sounded serious about it or just matter-of-factly agreed because he was kind of put on the spot. I think if you guys "texted" each other on Monday and you haven't heard from him by Friday you should make other plans for your weekend. It would seem he would call by Wednesday just to talk to you and make sure you kept Saturday open for him. You have clearly shown him you are interested and it seems that he would have jumped right on it. That's why I never called guys or asked them out and I dated quite a bit. I'm not saying my way is right but it worked for me, always. Another thought may be that dinner is an expensive date. He may not have the money to take you to dinner and may feel he doesn't know you well enough yet to spend that kind of money. Maybe if you had said let's go for coffee or ice cream or something would have been better.
