RocketMan2 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I went to college with this guy http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23384670-details/Oxford%20college%20president%20found%20dead/article.do
Kamille Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 So sorry Rocketman! While I was in undergrad, a classmate of mine, who would always sit next to me at a table for two, was found the same way in her dorm room. I shivered for weeks, wondering if I could have made a difference. Did you know him well?
Author RocketMan2 Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 I don't mean this in a bad way, but thankfully I didnt know him that well. I don't think its selfish to be glad I don't have that pain to deal with at the moment as well! Its just unexpected. The was in my Physics class, he was a genius! Such a shame. I feel for his family/gf Rocket
Kamille Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 No I don't think it is selfish either. I also feel for his gf and family... It must so hard to wonder why he never turned to them for help. A part of me always felt that suicide was a very selfish act. And I was suicidal as a teenager (and very self-centred so maybe that's what twarps my point of view!)
polywog Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Ugh, that's just awful, so so sad. My heart goes out to his family and gf, can't fathom the devastation they are feeling now. It was painful to look at the picture of him him in the article w his gf. Sorry Rocket....
