swholli Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 K, Theres this girl at my school who i've known and been friends with since the 6'th grade. She's a really good friend and I like her a lot but I want to know if she likes me. We have a lot in common, she laughs at my jokes, we get along really well, ect. All the right signs that she might like me. But how can I tell if she likes me back? I've already told her that I like her and she's ok with that, but she won't tell me she likes me back! So I was planning to ask her to our school's Valentines Day dance, but still, I don't know how to get her to admit it! I'm pretty sure she likes me I mean I'm almost positive, but she doesn't want to be more than friends. How do I approach her with that question "do you like me?" and actually get a response?
Cous Cous With Goose Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 That's a tough one. How old are you? You could try flirting with other girls in her presence and see how she takes it. So she knows you like her and she's okay with it..she might be just keeping her options safe. As in, she knows you'll be there waiting(the nice guy) and she wants to see if there's a better option out there. So in this case you have to make her decide. Last time you told her you liked her, what did you say? "I like you" or some lame crap like that? I think you should ask her how she feels about you. If she tells you like you're a good friend ask her 'nothing more than a friend'..just probe around. Think of questions that expand. And if she doesn't feel this way, I'd still ask her to the dance(what've you got to lose by now). Tell her just for the dance, and when it's over you won't bother her. It'll get her comfortable knowing it's just a one night thing, and you have your opportunity to try and win her over.
Guest Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 She won't tell you. Make her show you...and grow a set yourself. Ask her out. Better still, tell her to go to the dance with you. If you act confident, eventually, when you have the girl, you'll be confident.
