letter-to-elise Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Okay. This thread will be short because I have to go to a party soon, but I need your advice because I am a mess when it comes to dating. This monday I met a cute guy and we talked all evening and eventually he spent the night at my place. I had to get up really early so I did not have time to give him my number, but he got it from a friend of mine and we have had some text-contact Now, the question is: I am going to a party and I know that he is going out as well. Would it be alright or would I come across desperate if I ask him in the course of the evening what he is doing and whether he would like to meet me in a club or the like? Geez - dating makes me a complete mess! Love, etc... Elise
Star Gazer Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Your name caught my attention - that's one of my faaaaaaaaaaaaavorite songs!! Anyway. What does "eventually he spent the night at my place" mean? Did you sleep together, or did he pass out drunk on the couch? Need more context.
Author letter-to-elise Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 one of my favourites too We cuddled and kissed but did not sleep with each other. Eventually we passed out drunk...
Star Gazer Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Well, I don't think that you'd come across desperate simply by inviting him to meet up with you where ever you are already. However, I think you should make every effort to get to know him without the presence of so much alcohol. In other words, I'd contact him but suggest meeting up later in the weekend for brunch or something.
Author letter-to-elise Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Thank you Stargazer Well the situation resolved itself as he contacted me. He was not going to a party afterall as he wanted to go to bed early so I did not get a chance to invite him. I think I'll ask him over to watch a film to get some clarity. I am terrible at this wait-and-see game And I spend too much time over-analyzing his messages and statements. Love, etc... Elise
