mbrewyay Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 My girlfriend and I have been together for 1 yr and 5 months. About a month ago, we started arguing often. Well, one week ago, I told her that I couldn't be with her anymore and she agreed, but said that she didn't want this to be the end. So, we stayed talking, and I really want her back. She says she still loves me and wants to be with me, but that she doesn't feel its the right time. She wants her space, but doesn't want me with anyone else. What does this really mean and what should I do?
norajane Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 She says she wants space, so give her some space. Don't contact her, let her contact you. She can't really expect you to not date other people if she doesn't want to date you. I mean, she certainly might want that, but you are not obligated to agree. Maybe you can agree to a specific amount of time for a break - we won't contact each other or date other people for a month in order to clear our heads - and then at the end of that time make a decision to be together or not. What did you argue about in the past month?
IWalkAlone Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 She means the same thing you meant when you said you couldn't be with her any more, but you want her back.
