And we are very close , we like the same things and really enjoy eachothers company. We talk alot. He recently told me that if he had the chance he would have sex with a midget. As much as I like the relationship we have together I find this alittle strange. I think he might have a sex addiction. How can I know if he does?

Break up with him, he's gonna do nothing good for you long term. You may "love" him, but he's got his own issues and a wife.

If he is a sex addict then chances are you are not his only OW and it isn't at all about love. If he is a sex addict and he does have multiple partners you are at huge risk of contracting an STD from this man. There is no love in the world worth your health. I hope you are playing it "safe" kwim? I would advise you to investigate this matter further. Keep your eyes and ears open and follow your gut. If your intuition is telling you he is an addict then you are probably right.
