ConfusedTeen Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 ...I have recently moved to university for my 1st year. Although I am only a mere 32 miles away from my boyfriend we don't see each other much at all. I understand that there are people out there who haven't seen their partners for months on end and are in different countries to their loved ones but I am just seeking some advice on how to maintain our strong bond so it doesn't fade and we lose each other. So any advice or tips will be muchly appreciated.
InsanityImpaired Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Make use of technology. Use the phone, internet, chats etc. The both of you need to agree to set aside some time in your schedule. Compare the schedules the two of you have, and you are bound to find some time. Don't make it a rush job to talk; and make certain neither of you is occupied with friends, hamsters or whatever when you are talking. That will get irritating to the non-occupied person. Set goals on when to meet up again, for instance once or twice a month, during the weekends. If at least one of you can drive that will defiinitely help.
